Pet Shop Opener for Street Approaches
I'm trying to implement Day Bang and I've done several street approaches with the Pet Store script. I've found that the girls who stop and talk are the ones that are not sure where the pet store is and need a second to think it out. The problem is that girls that instantly know where it is or the girls that have no idea just give me a quick response and turn away. I've tried pushing forward with the "I've been looking around for one for a while..." but they seem confused that I'm still talking to them after they've given me a definite answer and continue to leave.

Some clearly just aren't interested in stopping and chatting, but with others I get the sense that they have a friendly vibe, but just aren't aware that I'm even offering to stop and chat. I saw in another thread that you suggested having a stock reason to reject the first pet store offered, which I'll try on girls that instantly bust out the location of a pet store. Any suggestions to address the issue of girls coming across as open but leaving because they're not aware I'm trying to keep talking to them after they give a fast answer?

Oh they're aware you want to get to know them, especially if you're still talking. The opener gives you a 1-minute automatic conversation from friendly conversation. The hard part of the opener is weeding out just friendly girls for girls who actually are in the state to meet a guy.

Also, are you talking to girls who are walking slow? Fast walkers aren't going to be open. Assuming your ramble is tight, you to work on picking better street prospects.

Thanks for the feedback, Roosh.

I'm kind of confused by what you mean here. I thought the point of the whole Day Bang strategy is that they're not aware you're trying to get to know them as that would "scare the cat." My understanding was that the pet shop opener is an innocuous opener that deliberately doesn't convey interest in the person.

What I've observed is that the only girls who stop are the girls who need time to think about whether they know where the pet shop is. The ones who have an immediate, definite answer move on as soon as they give their answer. Are you saying that this is coincidence? The girls that give a definite answer are just not open to meeting a guy? I mean it's possible because I've only done about 20 opens, but I just want to make sure I'm understanding you correctly, because that would be unintuitive.

It's Manhattan, so everyone walks pretty quickly, but I'm going for girls that walk at a relatively medium or slow pace.

They know you want to have a chat, just because you're rambling, not necessarily that you want to bang them.

When a girl gives a direct answer, it's still up to you to ramble, perhaps by asking a follow-up question, or else she will assume she did her deed and the conversation is over.

The hardest approaches are girls who are walking. There has to be a place near you where girls are stationary, maybe a park.

Also, for NYC there are tons more better venues than the street. Even a Whole Foods is five times better.

RE: Pet Shop Opener for Street Approaches
I just finished reading the chapter in daybang on this approach and definitely want to try it out as im an avid tropical fish keeper anyway.
If i do get a girl to stop,do i let her know that im already a fish keeper and ramble with the knowledge i already have or is that counterproductive and maybe too obvious that im trying to pick her up. I.E if im already keeping fish i probably know where a good store is right?

Or can i run with it but say my usual store has closed down and im looking for a new one?hence why im asking a total stranger.

Try both 5 times each and find out which one works best. I won't know correct answer if I haven't tried running game for your particular situation.

RE: Pet Shop Opener for Street Approaches
I made myself do ten pet store approaches a few days ago all within an hour,9 of the 10 women actually stopped and tried to help me somewhat. My ramble did not go on for long enough though and none of the approaches led to numbers but i was surprised that almost all of them actually stopped.Im going to work on this one some more.
I switched from buying fish for myself to buying a kitten for a friend that was down in the dumps after the first five approaches and i dont think it really made much difference.
But i will try both again on my next day outing.

Swear to God I saw a commercial today where someone says "Excuse me, do you know where the closest pet shop is?"

It was a Time Warner commercial.

Take care of those titties for me.

^^^ Laugh

I think a lot of new guys have a hard time maintaining conversation momentum due to anxiety. I am still in this boat somewhat even though I have progressed.

After asking the "where" question, you need to switch and segway into the ramble rather quickly and not have huge pauses. It helps. This is still a problem of mine that is bigger the hotter the girl is.

Body language compensates for this if you understand it well enough and can maintain it consistently; but for me, the best conversations come from good momentum. Im trying to adjust the eye contact and body language pieces over time.

Imagine a friend you're shooting the shit with.
