I don't know what the law is in Vegas, but this is crazy. Women demanding tips for pictures. I didn't know they got down like that. I thought the whole concept of a tip was that you give what you can if you want to or not and are not necessarily being charged for something.

They aren't really show-girls. They are persons simply there for the tourists to take pictures for money. That's their job and they are in a resort area making money for dressing up in costumes to take pics with tourists. You think they're there for free?

They have Freddy Kreuger, the guy who looks like Alan from The Hangover, the Transformers, etc doing the same thing.

And besides, the people walking on the strip are assholes wanting everything for free or to grab some free ass. Lowest common denominator of persons. Just trash, you have to be aggressive and firm/rude to them.

The first chick (the same one at the end) was a bitch but the rest were just trying to make some money. I think the casino pays them next to nothing to be out there so they ask for tips. No different than any other street performer.

When I lived in Vegas showgirls only made $35-45k. They can probably hustle an extra $200 a night doing photos - that's just coke money for most of them. At least they aren't doing escort work on the side...

EDIT: Drazen's right. These girls probably aren't actual showgirls. If anything, I'd guess casino waitresses or local strippers.

It's like that in LA on Hollywood Blvd. Spiderman, etc.

At one point they became so aggressive the city banned them. Then eventually they came back.

When I was in India some guy ask me if he should do picture of me and the taj mahal. Later he demanded money and I started an argument with him but gave him some money. But its all about bargain guys lol

Comic-Con chicks do this too apparently. The feminists, pissed at the attention hot cosplay girls get, now want to you to ask permission for any pic - even if the girl is just walking by and you happen to be recording as you're walking. Last year there were fat women out front yelling at people for just looking at (or eye raping) the girls. Imgur was in a feminist tizzy over it.

That's anywhere in Vegas, especially in Downtown Las Vegas.

I see the same guys and girls every year there. They all have tip jars or something to put money in.

I believe they all have permits and others who dress up and take money do it illegally.

When people do that, the exhibitionists with permits get pissed and will call security.

What I want to say, when someone at a tourist spot ask to do a pic of you he / she will mostly demand money. Same if someone dress in a costume at such spots. Thats why you should ask first to avoid such things.

Meh, I previously met street performers along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but those girls are just attention whores.

When you ask for a pic and the girl say X $ then its a contract. But when she say yes and demand money after, then I see it as a rip off.

Anyway the next question, when I do a pic with her and pay her, do I own the rights?

In Germany its kind of forbid to do pictures of people. Because of privacy, but do only really matter when you have the idea to make them public. But what about those girls? I mean they dress for the attention and can not be seen as "ordinary" people.
