I don't know what I hate more, the fact that white kids can't defend themselves, or the faggy, spineless way they're trying to answer without "offending". Or maybe it's the grating vocal fry everyone has or the fat girl crying about race while ignoring her massive health issues. In short, everything and everyone in this video enrages me.

Perhaps the network behind "Teen Mom" and "My Super Sweet 16" should not be the ones attempting to host any kind of serious discussion, racial or otherwise.

And if we need to "internalize" what white people have done -- as one of the girls in this video says -- maybe we can internalize everything from the Constitution, to the Bill of Rights, to inventing vaccines, to America's generous immigration policy, to the Interstate highway system, to building the Internet.

Because it's not really fair to have a discussion about "white people" and only bring up the negative, is it? Why can't the positive be mentioned? This video is basically the equivalent of click bait. The people behind it (most likely white) do not really believe this, but is controversy, which today equates to dollars. And maybe people will talk about MTV again? All this privilege talk is just in-group status posturing. These people don't care about minorities at all, and certainly never mingle or hang out with middle-class (i.e. non-academic) black/hispanic/whatever people. I think many black people don't even realize that they're just being used as pawns and that this is all just meta-level stuff. It's not about what they think it's about.

What’s with this “white achievements” stuff – there was no unified white civilization…most of the technical advancement in the west were done by western European nations and then the US. They were always out for themselves as nations and not for the white race. Most Eastern Europeans nations didn’t and still don’t produce shit. Even now, the main thing coming out Eastern Europe that the rest of world wants is pussy.

It's obvious but worth to repeat. We are not each other's enemy. This forum is a great example. Here we have guys of many different races and cultures that hold different opinions and have different experiences, but together we form a generally harmonious group that helps one another to grow as people.

It's the same with the artificial men versus women conflict. Naturally, despite of our differences AND because of our differences, we can learn from each other and work together to build something we couldn't do without the other.

Not only this, but we forget that for most of history, there wasn't even a strong "race-based" identity that people had.

What I mean by this is this: in ancient and medieval times, people identified themselves more on the basis of religion, national group, or clan, than "race."

A Roman or Gaul would have not felt any kinship, for example, to a Scythian or a Norseman, even though they were all "white" by today's measures. A Roman or Greek would have considered them to be barbarians pure and simple, and would have felt no guilt about giving him orders.

In the same way, a Han Chinese would have looked at your like you were insane if you said that he an a Hunnic (Hsiung-nu) northern tribesman were both "Asian" and had a shared identity.

The modern idea of "race" as some sort of political grouping has only been around for the past few centuries.

Beyond all that, I think this TV show is pure garbage...that goes almost without saying.

To borrow from SJW lingo, race operates on a broad color spectrum rather than in binary terms. There are no absolutes, but conclusions based on these groupings are still possible given the shared genetic composition of European peoples (to include Americans, later in the game) as well as shared historic and cultural ties. Hell, my ancestors didn't even get to the United States until 41 years after the Civil War and the abolition of slavery. When they did, they were virtually slaves themselves in the NE Pennsylvania anthracite coal mines. The mine owners didn't care as there were thousands of folks coming off the boat from Eastern and Southern Europe every day. There could be a terrible explosion in the mine. A supervisor would report to the owner, "Sir, there was a terrible accident at the mine! Ten men and four mules were killed!" "Four mules? Heads will roll!"

Still, I don't attempt to shame the descendants of those mine owners for the way their forebears treated my grandfather or great grandfather. They had nothing to do with it! I didn't drop out of school, become addicted to drugs, or live a live of crime, sloth, and ignorance using the ill treatment of long dead members of my family by the coal barons as an excuse. Instead of wallowing in self-pity, my grandfather bettered himself, learned how to speak English, got an education, got out of the mines, and opened his own business in the city.
