Three foreigners have been murdered in Medellin this month alone. While odds that you get murdered are exceedingly low..the amount of murders against foreigners is a concerning number and I'm sure many times that amount of violent crime happened against foreigners this month in Medellin.
Other then the Mexican guy trying to stop the robbery. The other 2 seemed to be mixed up in some shady shit. This is really not that concerning for those just trying to bang a few Colombia women.
The Norwegian guy had a heavy presence on a lot of message boards under the name DonTomas (tripadvisor, lonelyplanet etc.) and had a child...not exactly someone who would appear to be involved in sketchy things. Additionally he was fluent in spanish with a lot of experience in 2nd / 3rd world countries.
Those numbers are concerning to me. The population in Medellin is only 2.1 million. I can't imagine there are more than 50,000 expats and that probably a reach. 3 murders in a span of less than 20 days is a concerningly high number especially considering rooshv'ers are going to be higher risk than most considering most of us like nightlife and woman both of which carry more risky than day time activities.
It turns out that she was also a headcase, and now I can't go back to Guatape.
