Background

On Tuesday, Israel's Police Commissioner gave a speech at the Israel Bar Association. He was asked regarding the Ethiopian Jews "over policing".
He said (and I quote):

And than came "the bomb":

Quote:“Studies the world over, without exception, have shown that immigrants are invariably more involved in crime than others, and this should not come as a surprise,”
"It is natural for police officers to be more suspicious"

The storm
It started with calling him to apologize:

Next - the calls to resign:

The Apology
Strated with explanation:

Then came the apology:

Quote:In a Thursday evening meeting of the joint coordinating committee of Ethiopian Jewish leaders and top police officers, he said he wanted to apologize “to the entire community of Ethiopian heritage and anyone who felt hurt from the media reports.”

According to a police statement, he insisted he did not intend to cause hurt, “but to raise an issue as a first step toward finding agreed-upon solutions.”

The meeting itself was scheduled weeks earlier, police said, and was in any case slated to discuss “ways to rein in overpolicing and reduce crime among youth.”

And also:

Quote:Alsheich charged on Wednesday that his comments were intentionally misrepresented by “a small group of agitators” who were causing “huge damage.”

Analysis (For now)
Classic case of SJW frenzi.
Police commissioner was not "particularly smart" the use of the word "natural" was a classic mistake.

The storm started because of TL;DR. People commenting just did not take the time to actually read what he said.
Next is Ethiopian SJWs taking advantage of the situation.
A former activist analyzed the SJW campaign and came up to the conclusion that by going after the police, you undermine the current order. Once that happens - it is possible to overthrow the "oppressing state" and make a socialist/communist one. (Link in Hebrew)

From a PR perspective it seems that the police did "what it should".

What should be done
Following Vox Day's SJW Always Lie, I will offer my humble opinion:

1. "Rely on the Three Rs: RECOGNIZE it is happening. REMAIN calm. REALIZE no one cares"
Maybe problematic in this case. When you are Police Commissioner it seems that the first 2 are true. But that the government cares (about the image).

2. "Don’t try to reason with them"
There is no use in explaining. You can simply say: "I meant exactly what I said. Too bad that you were offended".

3. “Do not apologize.”
Too late. I think that the Clinton's "Mistakes were made" might work here.

4. "Document their every word and action"
Useful for the future. Not much help now.

5. “Do not resign.”
You won't get your job back.

6. “Start nothing, finish everything.”
He should go on the offence. He has a PR machine behind him

One more thing - he has his HLS minister's support. That is a very good thing.
Gilad Erdan, Israel's HLS minister, said right after the incident that:

Quote:"The commission did not condone the 'over-policing' of Ethiopian Israelis and he did not justify it. He did the opposite, bravely stating there was a problem and the police were taking care of it.

"Together with the police chief I have been leading, personally, many changes necessary to deal with this issue, including recruiting Ethiopian Israelis to the police force, promoting them, and setting up transparency mechanisms," he said.

Erdan stressed that "any attempt to lend the commissioner's remarks another meaning is false. It distorts his attention and upsets the community for no reason, especially after the police had made his intention perfectly clear.

"As someone who is closely familiar with the commissioner's position and police practices regarding the over-policing of certain populations -- I back him and the practices the police are implementing according to the policy I outline."

When I was in Israel, I didn't meet any Ethiopians. Are they prone to crime more than other immigrants? Or is this some racists thing they claim it is?

Blacks commit crimes at higher rates than other races by a small amount, something around 3-5%. But Blacks from single mother families, which seems to be a very common thing, have crime rates around 15-20% more if I'm not mistaken. I would love to see a complete breakdown of the crime stats from Israeli police and see what the fuck is actually going on.

The "racism" occurs from the ensuing profiling; if 1 out of 15 arrests come from Blacks, despite them making up 5% of the population, then of course the cops will be more suspicious of a random Black man compared to any other race.

I would like to know:

- Were Ethiopian Jews able to successfully integrate to Israel after first being moved?
- Were there a lot of single-mother families in this group?
- Does Israel give lots of incentives to single-moms to have tons of kids on the dole like every other Western nation?

etc. etc.. this would tell us a much bigger story. Race always gets the blame but no one asks about the family structures!!

Israel police stats are not that good. I'm relying on second hand articles.

As per your questions:
1. Ethiopian Jews have integrated, but not that great. There marriage rate outside their group is about 13%, which I understand is about double that of the blacks in the US.
They are still "somehow" segregated with regards to living (they live in specific places and claim to feel racism).
They serve in the IDF and the police, but are "under represented" in government section.
2. Not a lot of single mother families. However, there was a great "integration" problem in the sense that their patriarchal society disintegrated. They have a lot of "domestic violence" crimes.
3. Israel's incentive for single moms is not that good. If they make more than 125% of minimum wage they don't get support. It is also not that easy to collect from social security
Stats for 2013 (recent ones I could find) - single moms are 12.4% of the families but only 8.6% of the kids are from those type of families.

Again - Statistic in Israel lack very much, compare to the US. So I have a problem presenting the whole picture.

Israel is a globalist lefitst creation and the sickness of feminism-marxism-progressivism has permeated that country just as well.

Yes - Israel resists quite a few globalist tendencies and big Jewish organizations are globalist lackeys, but that has little to do with what is happening on the ground in Israel and among the average Israeli.

Their police chief can say slightly more than a Swedish police chief, but obviously not much more - at least publicly.

This is no surprise to me frankly.

Israel is gladly not as cucked as the rest. Feminism is alive there to the hilt, but this diversity crap doesn't fly much.

The Japanese police chief could probably say much more and get away with it while the rest of population says: "Duh, he is right of course."

Ethopia has an average IQ of 63. Even if some of the immigrants have higher IQs - Ashkenazi Jews have 113. That is a 50 IQ point gap. But no one is allowed to talk about those things, because that is racist. (Personally I think that all tribes can intergenerationally improve IQs with k-selected breeding and other methods, but nothing will be done if you claim that all are equal.)

There were around 3-4 million muslims living in Germany before the floodgates opened, mostly Turks. Turkey does have a relatively low crime rate.

And yes - crimes were not so many among the working Turks - if you exclude the occasional honor killing and the systematic harassment of unlucky German students who had the misfortune of going to a predominantly Turkish school.

But - the radicalization of the 3rd and 4th generation is apparent. And the newcomers from North Africa are much much more violent. Also I might add - close to 100% of the Turks are supporting this Islamization. Their moderate stance will fit nicely when they moderately start to behead you as you don't bow down to pay the Jizya or convert.
