Reminds me of my buddy who claims he can squat over 600lbs. Doesn't realize that squat=at least to parallel. 4 inches is not that. Doubt he could actually squat 300lbs with proper form.

I saw these videos on facebook today, the fat fart who thinks he is strong enough to preacher curl 210lbs, can do nothing with proper form and he has to cheat everytime.

Lmao what fools. Monkey lifts and half squats. Joints are still joints they never get stronger, lifting like these fools is pointless unless your are pro. They will be broken feeble Men by the time they hit 40-45.

RE: Don't be like these guys
Fucking idiots. I saw some bodybuilder douche a few weeks ago doing the bench dips thing with like 8 plates. He would have some guy load them on his lap and then he'd proceed to do one rep and violently chuck them all off.

These tools annoy the shit out of me. Morons who spend an hour doing bicep curls. Dudes who load up the bar with plates and then squat down 4 inches. Dudes who load up the bench press bar with a lot of weight, wait until people are watching them, and then do like 2 reps with shitty form while their spotter has to help them. Dudes who throw and slam weights around when it's not necessary. Oh yea and those fucking dicknose idiots who have huge upper bodies and tiny ass legs.

I work out at 24 Hour Fitness and I'm literally the only person I've ever seen who does full squats with proper form, although I have seen a few other guys do their 4 inch squats. I love when I'm squatting next to some guys doing 4 inch squats and I'm going ass-to-grass with significantly more weight than them. Everyone always looks at me weird whenever I do squats, deadlifts, cleans and bent over rows as if they've never seen anyone doing those lifts before.

These days a lot of bodybuilders do exercises improperly. Even at Gold's Gym Venice, the mecca of bodybuilding, these doucebags exist.

RE: Don't be like these guys
Zero point to do this in my book.

Who cares about how many plates you can lift?

None of that means jack when someone throws a straight shot to the temple.

Ha the dip video was impressive

I thought the guy doing curls was going to snap his forearm off his elbow.

Yup I can't really fault the dip video much either.

The fat fart thought he would set a new one arm preacher curl record, he didn't care about snapping his forearms.

The first video was lame, but the second one was just straight up comical. Who does bench dips anyway? They have zero range of motion regardless of how much weight you use.

Maybe it works for Rau. Who knows. But if I were that strong, I'd just do 200 lb weighted (normal) dips or something.

I always wanted to try pushups with plates on my back, but it's cumbersome and slightly silly.

Pushups with a weighted vest is the solution

The first guy was ridiculous, but the second guy had the physique of someone who knew what they were doing.

I wouldn't do bench dips like that, I think they are better suited as a higher rep, lower weight finisher exercise... that said his ROM was only slightly worse that what is deemed acceptable.

He probably knows a lot about how to train, despite the fuckery in that vid.

Dips aren't good for your shoulders. Weighted dips are hell on your AC joints. Bench dips are safer and are actually a more natural range of motion than parallel bar dips.

RE: Don't be like these guys
The first guy wasn't trying to conventionally curl the dumbbell (for you shit talkers). I dare anyone to try and do partial negatives with a heavy dumbbell ( 120 lbs or more ) over a long period of time and tell me you won't see any improvements in strength. IE grip strength / shoulder stability / forearm strength / Push Pull strength.

you should have read the description in the video or at least have some sort of knowledge beyond the novice or intermediate level of training before you started hating.

the first guy is like 25% bf, who gives a shit about strength when you're actually fat! besides nobody here is saying "I can do 200lb assisted cheating dumbell curl". Exercises have to be done with proper form. Ever see Ronnie Coleman or Jay Cutler do curls like that?

RE: Don't be like these guys
not everyone who works out, trains for aesthetics.

All rookies believe exercises need to be done with good form to achieve good results. As time goes on you will learn that is not true.

The "good form" mantra is constantly touted for amateurs to start off doing things right. Over time people learn to do things that are effective which may or may not include good form or proper technique. (You have to learn to do things right before you can start making individual tweaks)

..and Ronnie Coleman has the worst exercising form in history. Have you ever watched videos of him training ??? He doesn't do things by the book, he does things that work (for him).

I've seen him curling with strict form. Check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLwpkAMFby8

RE: Don't be like these guys
Hey I just tweeted something about this today after seeing a dude over very average build attempt to bench and row more then me. Granted it originally came from the part of the brain sippin on the Haterade but after watching him I knew the haterade was right.

He would load near 300lbs on the bench then proceed to move the weight a whopping 4 inches or so, nowhere near full range of motion. Same thing with bent over rows. He started bent over then stood almost all the way and lifted the weight maybe 3 inches.

I realized one thing about these kind of guys. They almost never do pull ups or chin ups. Ever. Those two exercises are the great equalizers. I love that Im easily one of the heaviest guys in my gym yet I can do unassisted pulls, chins, and dips yet "fit" skinny guys cant.

Chad, these guys get an ego-boost from doing half-reps with more weight.
