Surprisingly, I saw too many hot Spanish girls. Can't tell whether they were Catalan or from other areas, but they were tall with good bodies and cute faces. I got all the action in 24 hours and then kept the Filipina, which was the best in bed, for my last day.

Looking forward to go back for more days.

Wow, just had a look at the hostels close to the action in the summer months. Is $40-60 normal for a 12-20 bed dorm room? Seems very steep for a bed in such a crowded room. $25-30 seems standard in most European cities for a 4-6 bed room, outside of London etc. Don't even want to look at Airbnb now.

Definitely makes me appreciate Asia more, where I can get private Airbnb's and double rooms in 3-4 star hotels for that price lol.

In BCN I strongly recomend Airbnb since is easy af to ONS. Used it last summer and I don't regret it!!

In New year's eve and also on 1st May weekend I had to stay in hostels. Not bad at all since there are always groups of girls there. I recomend Kabul Party Hostel in Plaça Reial or St. Cristopher's Inn in Catalunya Square.

I'm just wrapping up a 6 day stay in BCN and did quite a bit of sight seeing, eat out, going out with some opportunistic day gaming.

Not much to add game wise as I've struck out all 4 nights I went out but here are my two cents to add to the data sheet:

Hostel:

I stayed at The Generator Hostel. It is a chain hostel and is quite upscale / posh by hostel standards. It's about $40 euros a night for a mixed 6 bed door with in suite bathroom / showers. I've stayed in quite a few during my travels and this one was really impressive. There's a bar plus restaurant downstairs and the place is pretty modern and clean.

There were a good amount of Caucasian Euro chicks staying there in addition to some teenagers and even families with kids. Just be careful of distraction thefts in the common areas as one of my roommates had his smart phone stolen while charging it by some gypsies in the lounge as anybody from the street can just walk in. Skip doing laundry in the basement, it's a ripoff $3.50 euros for washer + another $3.5 euros for dryer. Go further down the street to a lavendaria.

Restaurants:

Cerveseria Catalana has some amazing tapas, especially their seafood dishes. I also discovered the Clara (Lime flavoured beer) here and came back twice.

La Paradeta is also another excellent seafood restaurant. It's near the big Cultural Centre building in El Born. They have a seafood market type setup where you choose what kind of seafood you want on display and they cook it fresh for you (usually fried, broiled or as-is).

El Xampanyet is an excellent stand up authentic Spanish tapas place in the El Born neighbourhood. It's been in business since 1923. Try the different sardines / fish dishes with the house cava and vermouth.

Guru just south of the Gothic Quarters was recommended to me by a friend. It's quite upscale ($$$) but the food is not bad and great service.

Also tried Pim Pam Burger, El Senorio de Peru just north of Sagrada Familia as recommended by previous forum members and they were still delicious.

Morrysom in Eixample is another great mom-and-pops authentic Spanish operation and very affordable tapas with great service.

Nightlife

As previously mentioned, Shoko / Opium is where it's at it seems to pick up foreign chicks especially on Fri / Sat nights. Went to Opium on a Tues night and the ratio was terrible. Came back on a Sat night and it was amazing amount of talent.

Face control is strong on Sat night though so dress your best or risk getting turned down by the doormen looking for any excuse to reject dudes. Even while "on the list" I got rejected the first time, came back with two Swedish girls I approached outside telling them I was on the list, and got inside with another bouncer

I also went to check out Sala Apolo on a Tues night and it was super bunk. It wasn't even open until 12:30 and there was nobody in line. Like literally no one. The previous intel on this venue is outdated and their "Crappy Tuesdays" is now literally crappy so skip. Cab driver later told me it's now only good on Mondays.

If you want to save money from paying $12 euro cocktails at the clubs, pre drink + buy a few small shot bottles of vodka / gin / your alcohol of choice from a local and hide it in your jacket pocket. There's no pat downs or frisks at the door here it seems. The markets are technically not allowed to sell alcohol after 11pm but if you're discrete about it they'll sell it to you.

Nightlife in El Born / Gothic Quarters:


Bonbom - Caribbean style bar with $3 beers and $4 cocktails. Good vibes and a lively but friendly crowd. A bit on the small side. Good place to hit up with friends instead of cold approaching.

Machette - This neat little joint is pretty dope. One room is a mini tacos restaurant and it's delicious for $3 euros. The other room has a small bar and a dance floor. They played latin music. Good place to hit up with friends instead of cold approaching.

Jamboree - It's a nightclub in a basement with stone arches as pillars to break up the room. It has a busy bar and gets rather crowded. There's an upstairs club called Tarantis which has a large dance floor and one bar but I found the music to be too loud. Didn't approach here as I was with some friends and a chick I met earlier on a walking tour.

Daygame Locations

I didn't approach that much but definitely saw lots of opportunities at the beach, subways, streets, the wide boulevard major streets, Plaza Catalunya and the big Park de la Ciutadella...basically everywhere. Foreign girls and local slim pretty brunettes.

Conclusion

As it was my first time in BCN I wanted to do all the touristic stuff as well so couldn't put 100% time and energy into game but would definitely be back in the future. Sagrada Familia is a magnificent masterpiece and is a must-see if you're in the city IMO.

Finally, no visit to BCN is complete without checking out a FC Barcelona match. To experience the energy of Camp Nou and the energy / noise / atmosphere at a capacity 99,000 people stadium is unreal. To watch Messi and Neymar & Co work their magic while they are still here is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Yes, this is true. I will add that I was in a mixed 6 bed dorm for only the first 3 nights most for sightseeing days where I didn't game that much and just needed a place to crash.

On Fri / Sat / Sun nights I got a private room and then a 4 star hotel on my last night here.

Correction: £55 Euros / night at the Generator for a mixed dorm, not 40 like I previously stated.

The accommodation prices are a rip-off. The Philipinna I banged rented a hotel room for £200 per night with her friend and it was not even close to La Rambla.
It does not make any sense, unless they include in the accommodation cost the easiness to have sex in BCN.

I will just say that Nasty Monday and Crappy Tuesdays start really late, like you said the place didn't even open til 12:30. So it's not uncommon for there not to really be lines until like 1am. But if there wasn't a line then, then yeah, it sounds like it sucks. (Monday's are still big there)

People keep pointing out that Saturday night in Barceloneta is good, but if you go back to the original post here, the OP says Malalts de Festa was basically one of the best places he went while there. I was super excited to go check this place out when I was living in Barcelona last summer, but it was kind of a pain to get since its pretty far from Gotico/Raval so I didn't make it there. But it'd be awesome if someone had more info on that as of late. I follow a few girls I met in Barcelona and they definitely were there regularly, so it does seem like a pretty good spot on Saturday nights as well, possibly worthy for that list.

I' ve been to City Hall on Saturday and it was a sausage fest of 18 year old ravers. I was taken there by my local connections. After some coke and MD it felt better. I did not make any approaches, as I was too high.
At the end of the night I hooked up with a girl from the company.
