D-Edge on a Monday seemed the perfect place to find gringo loving girls to me, everyone I went there with was of a similar opinion. Girls there seemed more open to hooking up with foreigners than in many other clubs. The girls are 18-30 range but mostly on the younger scale. I distinctly remember more girls than guys. The rooftop area is the perfect area for speaking to girls, it's open top, no music or distractions and it's very sociable so you can walk around and chat to groups without looking like you're on the hunt for a women.

That may be true if you are a total non Porto speaking person. If you can speak even a little Porto, there are far better places to go with better looking chicks in my opinion. Though it did seem true that Mondays in Sao Paolo are pretty dead unless you know where to go. So D-Edge from that point is perhaps acceptable on Mondays, but it's not a very high standard as far as people go, as claimed here, unless you're into weird Rock music and 22 yo and under chicks with a bunch of dudes.

I know there are some smaller Pagode places on Monday' and I would much rather hunt those on Mondays.

I went to D edge last week and it was incredible.High-class girls,at a relatively cheap entrance fee.Plus its very near from barra funda metro station and other clubs and bars. Probably my #1 choice in SP Right now.

Most visitors to SP probably do not speak Portuguese. The girls, in general, are good looking and young. It's a Monday night and it's a fully pakced out club. The music isn't at all qweird just standard rock and indie though it was strange for me to see a bunch of very trendy looking students and pretty girls dancing to Black Sabbath as in the UK only ugly rocker / mosh girls would even know what that music was. If you know better places to go on a MONDAY night then let us know. Seriously I would love to have alternatives. Mr. GM mentioned cheap entrance, when I used to go to D-Egde entrance wasn't cheap, I once paid about $40 on a Monday night to get in, I was told there was a good reason for this but once inside noticed nothing different from the other nights I'd been and it had never been 'cheap' those previous nights either.

Yes, the entrance fee for D edge is 40 brl if you have your name on the list. It is not the cheapest place(Like Seringueira and Alcobaça/Genoveva SP, both near to D Edge charging 20brl but you see a great decrease in quality compared to D edge) but its cheaper than upscale places such as Lyons Club with the same quality.

I sticked more or less to the list given in 1, plus the pre bars given in 2. The only difference is that I can also recommend Beat Club for Wednesday and that I went to Vegas also on Friday. But there were many clubs on my list left to try.

My Experience

Tuesday

Couchsurfing party. There were a couple of good looking girls. I started chatting with a really hot asian-white mix, she seemed quite interested, but then again not, she kept turning away while I was talking to her, I got tired of it.

All the CS people went to “Club Vegas”, but the girls in the queue outside didn’t look hot.

So I went to “clash club”. There were some good looking girls, but again they were only semi interested in talking with me (I think I approached like 3 sets). As again all girls were not free after 20 minutes, I kept speaking with the 3 girls that I met in the queue (19 years old). They seemed quite enthusiastic, but my primary target pointed out 3 times that she had a boyfriend, the second target (I switched) only added me on facebook.

Wednesday

“Bar Brahma”. Nice samba concert, but not really the right atmosphere for pickup. After the concert I approached a 3 set, turns out the two good looking ones are a lesbian couple. One gives me her number anyway without hesitation, replies Friday to one SMS, but not to the second one.

Afterwards we met a girl that I met in Brasilia and again on the plane (she came to Sao Paulo for a concert), she has really nice tits, and she brings along two female friends, one of which is also really hot, nice tits again. All 29 years old I guess. We go to “Beat Club”, actually quite good with good looking girls and nice structure (down dance floor, 1st floor bar, 2nd chill out area and billiard), but we go in at 2am, most people are just leaving. My friend could have picked up a semi good looking girl anyway. But we already have 2 girls, my friend kisses one, me the other one. But their plane leaves at 6:30am, they don’t want to go to the hotel.

Thursday

“Sky Bar” on Hotel Unique. Very upscale. We talk to some very hot girls (above 30, but in good condition). My friend gets a contact, me just some chit chat.

“D-Edge”, afterwards, was a disappointment. We went there when it had just opened. Some nice looking girls, there are not particularly open to speak to us, and few speak English. But my friend got the contact of a nice girl under the eyes of her boyfriend, and she was quite interested to meet him again.

Friday

“O’Malleys” was actually quite good, I approached two sets of ok looking girls, both spoke English. I made out with one, my friend with her friend.

Then we went to the ESPM Festa da Branco (ESPM is a uni, and they make this white party once a year), unfortunately we couldn’t get inside, the tickets were sold out. I saw some quite hot girls going inside, combined with the free alcohol, this could have been an amazing party. Shit. On the downside, the audience is quite young, 18-22.

So went to “Vegas”. For quite some time I tried it with a super hot 25 year old girl. She was married and had a kid, nevertheless sent some signals and sticked around with me. After 2 hours I gave up. There were also some other hot girls around. I had the feeling one wanted to kiss me, but she made out with a girl later. My friend kissed a girl, she was ok. Another super hot girl (a friend of the lesbian) approached me, she added me on facebook the next day and asked me how long I stay in the city – I was already gone, shit, she was also so hot!

Saturday

Pub Crawl from couchsurfing. I think I talked with the only girl that was more or less ok, nearly all girls there were super ugly. I am sure I could have gone further, she was very interested, but the logistics were bad (she was the organizer and had to stick around the end, and she also had a CS guest).

We decided to go to the “O’Malleys” again instead. I opened a 3 set, one was quite ok (but I didn’t like her eyebrows), she was very interested, I left her for my friend (they kissed, but she left early). I tried with a hot girl, she seemed interested in the beginning, but then she didn’t want to get close. A 2 set of rather old girls, she was interested, but her English was too bad. I opened another 2 set, one left, I gave the remaining one to My friend (after he didn’t leave for a couple of minutes, I thought otherwise none of us would get her [guys, don’t hinder your wingman, shit!]), she was quite hot, My friend kissed her later, but she didn’t want to fuck, just meet the next day.

I went to “Vegas” afterwards, but it was already super late, 3am. Inside it was a freak show, many gays, some mixed groups approached me, but I was so dead tired that I couldn’t really try anything. But the party had potential, some hot girls around, and wild!

Conclusion

Unlike Belo Horizonte (and also Brasilia), not many hot girls on couchsurfing (on the internet). Unlike Belo Horizonte (and also Brasilia), many cool clubs. I particularly liked O’Malleys, also Club Vegas had potential.

Ok, I´m from Sao Paulo and I only learned to appreciate the city after I moved away.

The truth is SP is a great place to meet and fuck chicks. If you´re looking for a traditional chick to marry/date, forget it, but if you want cool, hot, educated chicks, hot sex and you´re like me and don´t pay for dates, this is the place for you!

Good places to pull ONS:

- Villa country (in barra funda)
- Club vegas
- O´Malleys
- Hotel Cambridge on saturdays (80´s party)
- Vila madalena on friday and sunday nights

Good places for daygame and night game

- Bars in Paulista Avenue
- Bars close to universities (mackenzie, unip in vergueiro metro station)
- Gyms (very easy to get numbers from hot girls)
- Paulista Avenue on saturdays and sundays
- Vila Madalena on sunday afternoons
- the subway

General rules are very simple: during the day make sure to open indirect but don´t worry about hiding your interest from chicks. It´s ok to let it show, as this is appreciated.
When picking up chicks at night being direct works well, since chicks here appreciate a man with balls. In SP nobody has time to waste so being direct and objective is a plus.

Don't go to Genoveva club, went there yesterday with Carne (RVF member from NYC) and some other guys, and it was hell. 99% ugly ghetto chicks and I almost got into a fight with a guy there. We were going to D-EDGE but since it was very expensive we decided to get in genoveva instead. Don't do this mistake.

Here's a couple of new contributions from myself:

1. Villa Mix - Baladas. Massive Brazilian country music club playing Sertaneja - a kind of bland and somewhat annoying array of romance and love songs. But if you ignore the shitty music you'll be treated to an insane girl ratio (3 to 1), huge club so tons of targets, and really impressive quality. I would strongly recommend this place as the girls were dressed nice and in general very friendly. If you can dance you'll get some bonus points (sadly I can't). If you're on a budget get here early as the lines are insane. We ended up getting advance entry and bottle service for about R$400 (vodka and Red Bull) which worked out not bad between 3 guys on a Saturday night.

2. Skye Bar - Jardim Paulista. Very upscale restaurant/bar with amazing design and high drink prices. The view is incredible and the place is a mixture of half sit down restaurant/half rooftop bar - quite New York in style. Definitely some classy girls here and it's pretty exclusive so be prepared for a little attitude at times. Definitely go suited down for this one and get here EARLY (around 8pm) unless you want to spend 2 hours standing in a queue. Friday or Saturday is the night to go.

I think I've been to Up Club. I went to a hip-hop club in V. Madalena when I was in SP; it played very current hip-hop and r&b. Just from the way the people in line were dressed and how they looked, I would have thought I was at a hip-hop club in New York had I not known any better. It was pretty cool to experience.
