And I just equated air time to forum commentary. What's wrong with that?

And yes, people in the Western world care less about Sri Lanka than France. No surprise there.

The United States (both Democrats and Republicans) are calling for legislation to punish the Buddhists of Myanmar for trying to remove Muslims from their country. Sri Lanka needs to learn from its Buddhist brother. Let us keep in mind that it is US pro Muslim foreign policy that is responsible for these atrocities.

It's a country you almost never hear about so it would be interesting to hear some stuff from you.

I have the impression that it's somewhat primitive based on a close tamil engineer friend who comes from there. Cool and normal guy on the surface but some stuff with his family was so retarded that you'd be amazed if I told you the stories.

I like the place, I've been there three times. It's got all of the old British colonial ambiance, you feel some places like Colombo Fort railway station haven't changed since 1949. The trains are fun. I took the morning train to Kandy, it has special viewing cars as you go up to altitude through the jungle. I also took the sleeper train to Batticaloa.

Negombo was kind of a disappointment, it's supposed to be a beach resort, but I didn't see much going on on the beach or off. I guess I was there off-season, it was cloudy the four days I was there.

I went to a nice beach resort in Batticaloa, it was kind of self contained. Town wasn't much. I brought a woman from Colombo.

Galle is a colonial town, it has an old Portuguese fort like Malacca and Kochi, worth a visit.

Colombo is not huge, you can walk around the center in a day. The metro area sprawls out a long distance but it is low-density. I didn't go clubbing there, it's not reputed for that. The only place recommended to me was Clancy's in the center.

I spent a lot of time in Mount Lavinia, at the old-style Mt. Lavinia Hotel and others in the area.

Hook ups were almost all from online, mostly Badoo. One who I met on a railway platform, a really fine tall 5'10 or so woman who was 50 but looked 35. Another I met coming out of a railway station, Muslim divorcee about 40. Some of my steady diet, divorcees and widows in 40s who hadn't had sex in years. 34 yo single mom who got knocked up by a white guy, she was still fine, was obviously looking for a provider. Come to think of it, I did the full spectrum - Sinhalese and Tamil, and Buddhist, Muslim, and Christian.

It's kind of a mysterious place, want to go back.

RE: Sri Lankan bombings
Denmark's richest man lost three of his four children in Sri Lanka attacks:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/sri-lanka-b...dren-dead/

I can't help but wonder what his political leanings are - the Danish supposedly are a bit more woke than the Swedes.

Frankly speaking: If I was a billionaire and some rat face muzzies take out three of my children I would spend a very sizable chunk of my fortune to hunt those fuckers down and make them pay. And then some. But then again - my test levels are usually in the upper range of my age group. At minimum I hope he won't come out and start whimpering about forgiveness or NOMALT.

Haha, yours probably took a little longer to write!

Re his political leanings, he is extremely private, you can barely find pictures of his children, has no interest in public life. So there is no way of knowing, but I was thinking the same thing, a man with that kind of money could do alot of things..

Yes I understand this but it was more a case of people pointing to the decline in the foundations of Western societies. These events happening are always over there someplace and we're detached from it but over time they get closer and closer.

Serious terrorism never used to happen in the West but now we're used to it. When that terrorism is a cover for a war against the founding principles of Western nations it should be taken seriously but because it happens over there, it isn't.

The Muslim horde did not start in Europe before we started the crusades, they started in the East first and then moved westwards.

Same thing is happening here.

What's with this "Easter Worshipper" terminology I'm seeing going around? Is that a new sect of Christianity that particularly values bunnies, eggs, and egg shaped chocolate? No one ever seems to have a hard time naming Muslims as a victim group.

Would this not be how the Crusades started?

I can't even fathom to think how this must feel. Perhaps I am a weak Christian but I would spend the very last penny I have in taking revenge on my children's murderers.

RE: Sri Lankan bombings
The coverage of the Sri Lanka attack has been sickening and bizarre. Al Jazeera has been running articles blaming it on the Buddhist government and not even mentioning Muslim terrorists. The Western media has basically buried the story since it doesn't fit their narrative. Below is the story of the "real" victim of Sri Lanka. She was a good Muslim girl incorrectly identified by the evil Sri Lankan government as a terrorist suspect. Oh the injustice. The New Zealand Christians morons who attended the Mosque services should launch a formal protest. The West is controlled by bastards. I look forward to the rise of the East.

We are really living in the end of times. Basically the New Zealand shooting was done by one "white supremacist" and the media blamed the whole alt-right movement. Everyday there was constant stream of propaganda of the "growing" threat of white supremacy. Even though he was not trained by anyone, was not part of any group and the attack was basically a crazed lunatic with a gun. These bombings occurs at multiple locations done by a political group and planned well but the media is quiet about it. Where are all the assholes wearing the hijabs now? It was so sickening to see a president, no wait, a whole nation cuck itself. But no, the media does not want to paint all Muslims with the same brush as the terrorists yet we did it with the shooter and the alt-right movement.

RE: Sri Lankan bombings
I had to come to this forum to know about this attack. It didn't have much coverage in France like "eh christians don't really count, let's move on quick to another subject".
But the Christchurch attack on a mosque was making all the headlines, with the typical mourning for the victims, let's unite and pray together and let's attack the bad bad white guys.

I largely stay away from television news (it just makes me feel like a stranger in my own country), but the snippets I've seen on the UK 'News At Ten' (including last night) have largely focused on the plight of Sri Lankan Muslims and Muslim refugees as they face reprisal attacks by locals.

The NYT's hypocrisy is unreal. "Easter Worshippers" when Christians gets killed. Unsurprisingly, they start using "Christians are bad" narrative when fighting against Muslims.

There is an exageration here about the nr of battles done by islamic ( or nominally islamic) empires or armies.

First of all the battles the arab caliphates fought in the territory of modern france is overly multiplied.

Besides the times of Martel in the 8the century the caliphates didnt try much to invade France.

So those dots that represent battles in southern france are not true.

There is also an exaggeration regarding battles fought in Sicily and southern italy or Sardinia.

Most of them were pirate attacks rather than big land battles.

We have to make a difference between big mainland battles that changed history and some pirate incursions.

Guys that speak about Jihad with so much passion are not really a valid source.

I don't know about Southern France.

But the dots in Sardinia and Southern Italy were mere pirate attacks? These were constant incursions by Muslim privateers under the blessing of their Moorish leaders which carted of treasure and, according to most estimates, several million European slaves. Large areas of the coastline were abandoned as people moved inland for fear of pirate attacks, and this is one of the reason for economic stagnation in Italy. Ships from all European counties (except British who they knew not to mess with) were attacked, their cargo stolen and their crew sold into slavery. All with the knowledge and blessing and for the enrichment of North African leaders. How is this not an act of war? It is the reason that the American navy decided to go and kick their asses twice in the Barbary Wars. These attacks were acts of war in the same way that British privateers such as Sir Francis Drake attacking Spanish interests with the blessing of the British Crown were acts of war.
