I'm surprised anyone even uses CS anymore. Back 5-10 years ago CS was a good thing because girls couldn't afford to travel but now with instagram and tinder thirst grown worldwide. Instead of a girl trying to use a guy to let her sleep on his couch she has some western beta just handing her $ so she can go traveling alone or even taking her traveling with him.

Things have just shifted going from the smarter guys posing as one of those betas to bang CS girls and catch them off guard to the smarter guys posing as sugar daddies on sites like seeking arrangement to catch girls off guard and bang them for free.

Also I did a few same day visa runs in the Singapore airport when I was last in the city. Immigration said nada about it.

For any long-termers in JKT that do the same thing, do you guys ever get hassled or questioned eventually? Is getting denied entry a real possibility like it is in Thailand?

I do not have experience with the Jakarta immigration in this respect, but I did get questioned once in Bali. I had just come off a one year business visa and then switched to flying in and out a lot on tourist visas so my passport started filling up real quick with Indonesia stamps. In one instance they wrote in my passport "NOT ALLOWED TO WORK".

In general though, the only instances they really care about and which will get you into trouble are:
1) Work for an Indonesian company without a KITAS
2) Illegally work a job that could have otherwise been done by an Indonesian (personal trainer, teacher, etc)

Keep in mind that the business visa is meant for consultants etc. that get invited by an Indonesian business via an official letter, so they still don't work directly for an Indonesian business entity. Technically you are still not allowed to work in Indonesia on a business visa. It's a grey area though, and there's services online where you can buy a 1 year business visa without actually having it provided by a company who needs you in the country (that's what I did).

The reality is Bali is completely overrun by location independent people who all work online. None of them have the right papers to do so, but because they don't work for an Indonesian business entity it gets allowed. Money coming in = Indonesia becomes richer, after all. Having said that, I do always make sure to stay away for a while on my visa runs (couple days to a week) before returning to Indonesia. I have heard of people getting in trouble because they kept getting back to back tourist visas, flying to Kuala Lumpur and returning on the same day to get a new visa. Best to spread that out a bit more.

In theory no, but they'll start getting suspicious after you've accumulated a bunch of back to back tourist visas.

Best to go for a business visa if you're planning to stay long term, or a social visa which is extendable up to 6 months. The downside is its single entry though.

For anyone who doesn't speak Dutch it means "the devil in the city".
All she does is post pictures of tinder guys she matches with and dialogue. She is exposing more than 20 guys every day. She is basically taking you to town.

The girl's name is Fiqa. She is overweight but of course using pics on her dating profiles that make her look much better than in reality.

What's shocking is to see the guys that are trying to bang her. Here's what you guys are missing: guys don't necessarily go for her. In many cases, she hits them up first, and not only on Tinder. She likes to prey on guys with large social media followings and status. If she senses any bit of sexuality in the message exchange or in-person interaction, she goes for the jugular. She has severe mental health issues. It's a sad case, really. Nevertheless, avoid at all costs, no matter how horny you might get on a Monday at 2am!

As for the guys concerned about being potential victims, knowing her name is enough. But in addition to what Ragnar stated, she has a gap in between her 2 front upper teeth, so she's not hard to spot.

Anyway, I can’t also imagine myself hitting on an overweight Indonesian woman with gap teeth who talks like a feminist when there’s plenty of sweet cute thin ones to go around. Jakarta is one of the easiest places in the world to bang chicks. The city has nothing else to offer, unless you work there. Bad traffic. Pollution. Food is ok, but unhealthy. New poster, long-timer lurker. Decent thread you’ve got going on here.

I’ve been in the city for about three months now. Previously located in North Jakarta; found it wasn’t as convenient. Planning on relocating and getting a condo in Central/Thamrin soon. How far is the walk to the GI mall from Thamrin or the Cosmo buildings? I don’t want to end up waiting out in the heat for 25 minutes for a 5 minute taxi. Cheers.

My impression (that has been confirmed by one of the girl) is that there are almost no expats in the city so you are the exception there. The city islef is ugly and polluted, with not much to see and do, I'd say even bangkok is better than jakarta, but since I was on my way to bali I decided to stop there for a week just to figure it out.
