So I am working with Game and in it Roosh advises to go look at mannequins for outfits. I have been been doing that this weekend both Saturday and Sunday for a couple of hours but did not find any relevant ones.

The other advice is to look at what other men that are successful with women are wearing. I took some photos of them when I saw some in town.

There are basically two styles that are relevant for me. One is the the more classy up dressed one, and the other one is the more hipster/vintage one. I'm in my early thirties and live in Sweden, Stockholm. My apartment is located 5 min away from city with subway in a famous and popular district where people who live here dress hipster/vintage. So it would make sense for me to go that route since I am planning on doing daygame in that area. Right?

I am planning on doing daygame, social circle and Tinder only for a while because I do not want to stay up late or drink. Mainly because I go to bed at 11 pm. I've been doing night game without drinking so the alcohol is not the issue. I am looking for a girlfriend.

My haircut is faded undercut on the sides and short on top. Willing to change it.

What do you guys say, how to dress for Stockholm?

My budget at the moment is 420 USD. I will have more money coming soon.

My wardrobe at the moment consists of:
10 polo shirts - one black with red and white stripes on the arms and white stripe on collar from Zara.
From American Eagle: one navy blue, one light blue, one wineberry red.
From H&M: Black, grey, turquoise, blue, grey.
From ESP: grey
3 shirts: one black from Zara. One white and purple from H&M.
2 sweaters
one grey coat
one wineberry red jacket from H&M
one turquoise scarf
one white scarf made of wool
one pair of brown dress shoes
one pair of brown semi-boots
one pair of brown sneakers
one watch with brown leather strap from casio

Two denim jeans regular fit, one black and one blue with brown leather belts.

Tanner's book is a great treatise on the topic, though it is NOT a nuts-and-bolts guide to "the five pairs of shoes you need for the summer season!" It requires thought to fit the ideas into your unique personal applications, but once you figure it out you'll never need to ask for broad style advice again.

Being in a major city in Europe people are generally going to dress a little more "fashion forward" so a lot of people are going look half decent as you walk around the city.

A lot of style isn't exactly about what you wear but how you wear it. You need to look good while also looking congruent. You could wear the exact outfit that a male model wore for a GQ shoot, but if you look tryhard rocking it then it will be obvious you are just trying to mimic something.

That said, for references I would take all the pieces you have google "how to wear _______" to get outfit ideas. That red jacket? Google: how to wear red jacket men. You should see lots of fashion modeling pics to give you cues on how to wear it.

Pinterest is your best friend - it's gallery of what girls love on guys. I've stolen plenty of ideas from there.

If you wanna look like a guy who gets fashion/fuckboy style and you can pass as a 25 y/o:

- Ripped jeans lighter blue
- Dark leather jacket/bomber or hoodie
- White shirt (calvin klein/armani or hiphop vans/stussy if you wanna show off and have that vibe)
- Converse/Vans or sneakerhead stuff like Airforce 1 or Jordans (stick with classics, too much color looks dumb)
- Branded underwear optional (calvins/armani/hugo)
- Newera snapback optional
- Necklace/watch optional
- Have some muscles(or dont and aim for that lil pump skinny dude rolling on molly, some young girls are actually into that but not recommended)
- Tattoos optional


How to look stylish and mature but not tryhard:
- White/Pinstripe light blue dress shirt
- Tie with some pattern
- Cardigan (when it's cold outside, I prefer this over a suit vest)
- Suit jacket but more like sports jacket style - elbow patches, patterns etc. (no black or navy - go for brown/grey instead)
- Dark denim jeans (or chinos for different color scheme)
- Dress shoes or converse (i like white low vans with jeans rolled up few inches for more casual look)
- Can use fake stylish glasses to look smart (I do that when dressed in formal suit sometimes)
- Nice watch (buy fake rolex if you wanna show off, girls cant tell if its fake or not)

Having been to Stockholm a few times, I can say the men dress in top style there.

I am a firm believer of buying quality garments and keeping the wardrobe simple.

Get a good pair of jeans that fit you well. look at Diesel, G-Star or Varvatos. These you can get on sell, if this is too costly then look at Uniglo.

H&M is not a store i would shop at, but being Swedish I am sure you can get a few good pieces.

Shoes is something I suggest you spend your money on, nothing beats quality footwear.

Here’s my take on your stuff (in general I agree with Nefarias): don’t wear polos. They look ugly on everyone but the most muscular men, and in any case are always inferior to tee-shirts. Either wear tee-shirts (if muscular and good weather) or go the dress shirt route. If you get a dress shirt, get a real one not Zara, in a light color (white, light blue or pink only, plain or stripe). Brooks Brothers is ideal, for €50 on sale. Buy 5 v-neck tee-shirts at H&M in plain colors (white, blue, or red). 95% cotton / 5% elasthane or 100% cotton. €9 each.

Your dress shoes are ugly. Buy a €250 pair from a real brand like Barker or Meermin or Carlos Santos. Best investment you’ll ever make. (Sneakers are fine, and mandatory if you wear tee-shirt, but dress shoes are a plus). Get polish and shoe-trees.

Blue jeans are fine but yours look a bit faded. Buy Levi’s 501 in a lighter blue (the classic blue jean color).

I am 6'6 feet tall and weigh 218 lb, I am slim. My hair colour is brown. Working out since 4 months so inbetween muscular and skinny, not skinny

Maybe you are right that polos are ugly. As a result of your post I put away all my polos and wore tshirts today. I felt much better. I bought the polos trying to be someone I was not, a bit more fancy/rich/classier than what was suitable.

For the most part I agree. More often than not, they look stuffy when buttoned and sloppy when not.

I think that you approach is too focused on detail. Rather than look at your clothes individually, you should have a global approach to your wardrobe (you can and should do both, but a global approach is more interesting). First define the image you want to project, then buy things which fit that image.

Tanner’s approach is interesting because it defines three main masculine archetypes. You can look for others or invent your own but it’s a good start. There is a quiz, take it (doesn’t work on iOS apparently), read the descriptions, and give a bit of thinking to it.
