Division 2 - little politics - financial success and liked by gamers - disliked by media.
Battlefield 5 - lots of wokeness - financial disaster relative to budget/marketing - disliked by gamers - loved by soy-media.

As most guys believe - those games should be enjoyable by anyone regardless of political views and opinions, but no.... everything has to be propaganda.

There was a time when I sort of used to think that Ubisoft and EA were about equally bad, but in recent years I think Ubisoft is doing most things right - even if they certainly stick fairly rigidly to their open world formula (which I happen to still love in most cases, I can see why people who don't are not fans) - while EA seems to be doing everything they can to tank their studios, their games and the connection to gamers.

And the gaming media has obviously gone completely off the deep end as well. It's like they have totally disconnected from the majority of actual gamers and for that matter even large parts of the still relatively apolitical games industry.

Ubisoft has mostly understood where they failed (even though AC Odyssey, hmmmm, very questionable shit there) and is seemingly trying to steer away from PC fuckery.

The story is well done, the graphics are good if your machine can handle them, the combat is good, and the whole game is just very immersive. It's made by a non-SJW Czech company.

Not perfect, but pretty damn good in my opinion. I've got about 183 hrs on it.

Skyrim
I suppose its that time of the year where I decide I'm going to play through Skyrim and finally beat it this time. Something always draws me back to this game..... even though in reality Oblivion is my favorite game in the elder scrolls series. This go around I'm a cat that specializes in dual wielding weapons, light armor, sneak,and pickpocket... all things I pretty much never used in the past (I didn't realize how easy it was to pickpocket until this play through, I used to think you had to be hidden and behind people to pickpocket) Let me start with the obvious... combat is clunky as it gets. However the world and the detail and the randomness of this game makes the replay value through the roof. I'm 9 hours into this new play through and found a few cool places that I have never seen before in my hundreds of hundreds of hours of total game play on this since it released on Xbox 360.

For all their flaws Bethesda at their best really brings the worlds in their game to life. Though I worry about the next installment in the series... gaming as a whole seems to be getting progressively lazier, worse, and more profit driven then ever.

A Oblivion remaster would excite me more then a lifetime supply of Oreos would excite Lindy West
