I use OKCupid a lot, but I'm getting sick of seeing the same old faces.

I've heard that when you're rated (by other people) as highly attractive, you get access to other attractive people's profiles (people who presumably have also been rated as highly attractive) when you do a search.

I myself am quite attractive, but for whatever reason, I guess I don't get rated highly enough. Maybe I'm not that photogenic, or maybe the females are very selective to the point where you have to be a model or something to get highly rated.

So, I've just created a fake profile. The idea is to get myself highly rated for a while, and then switch everything to how I'd normally have it (my real picture, etc) so that I'll see better looking women when I do a search.

I've chosen my location (where I live) as being in a place that is in the middle of nowhere, so that if anyone does a local search, they're unlikely to see me. And all I'm doing is clicking on loads of profiles in the hope that they'll rate me highly (this has happened before with another fake profile, which is what made me have this idea). My searches are in places that I'd never normally search. This way, when I eventually switch, I won't be found and hopefully I won't be reported, and then I'll be able to just carry on as normal, but with better search results.

I know that this does work, but does anyone have any words of advice? Is there anything more I can do?

Here's my suggestion for seriously streamlining the search process.

Before I start, FYI I've found that you will get a higher response rate when you message girls as they are online now. All of my messages, I use on girls that are currently online. I will find out within 10 minutes if they are interested or not and move on.

1. Get a fake "observer" account. An alternate account that may just be blank so you can freely look up girls. Set the browsing to anonymous and hunt away. I dunno how much rating affects your search results--if you're that worried, set up a hot girl fake account.

2. Search using the distance hack. Is the 25 mile radius minimum not good enough for you? When you do a search, look at the long URL at the top of the screen. See where it says "&filter3=3,25"? The number 25 there is the variable for the search radius. If you want to search within only 4 miles of your home city, change the 25 to a 4 so it looks like "&filter3=3,4" in the URL. Single most useful "search hack" on OKCupid.

3. Favorite the girls you like. Users are never told when they are favorited (anymore), so it's for your personal records. The most important thing is that you will see a list of your favorites that are currently online on the left hand column of your screen. Congrats, you now have an active of the girls you like in your area that are currently online for you to message ASAP. Just open your real account in another browser and fire away.

Also, I'd recommend doing this for an amusing look at the level of thirst in your city. You might get some actually good openers too.

wish I still had my fake girl POF account...the amount of messages I'd get on there were ridiculous.
For lulz I changed the location to my hometown...small town. I received lame ass openers from people I knew in my hometown...fukin hilarious. to take it even further I even flirted back..then after a while I'd give them the rejection hotline number...I got a little too involved with the trolling haha

I love that distance hack. I always wondered why they don't let you search in a smaller area. So that hack is a real time saver, thanks.

I use it to pipeline. Since I can only be away from work 2 weeks at a time tops I like to have some talent lined up ahead of time. Not all with the intention of gaming, some to just act as aprons went getting into tough doors.

When I am on site however I rarely have time for sitting online. I can get far more hits in the same time frame just popping into hotel bars in Downtown areas.

I use it to pipeline. Since I can only be away from work 2 weeks at a time tops I like to have some talent lined up ahead of time. Not all with the intention of gaming, some to just act as aprons went getting into tough doors.

When I am on site however I rarely have time for sitting online. I can get far more hits in the same time frame just popping into hotel bars in Downtown areas.

This is the email I got because I was consistently rated 5/5 stars on OKCupid. I cut and pasted it directly from my email. It definitely changed the caliber of women chart show up in my Matches.

Is that irony? Because I believe a bunch of us has reported that before. And I think it's for getting a certain quantity of 4-5 stars rather than just being a straight 5.
