Lately, this forum is starting to seem like the He-Man Woman Haters Club. Don't get me wrong, I hate third-wave feminism and the overly entitled behavior of many women today, but overall, I actually like women. And more than liking women, I like travel and self-improvement. When every fourth post is about politics and feminism, it gets hard to remember that this is a travel and game forum.

With that in mind, I wanted to start a positive thread. We talk a lot about women hitting the wall. This thread should shuould serve as a reminder that we can keep getting better as we age by showing example of men who are aging well.

Here's the first submission: Tim McGraw

McGraw was featured on CBS Sunday Morning this week and they showed the cover from his first album, where he's looking a little pudgy and a lot goofy:



That's from 1993, when he was 25. And this is him today at 45:



Apparently. dude quit drinking and started putting in mad work at the gym. What's even more notable is that he's married with three daughters, a situation that could drain the testosterone from the most alpha of men.

That's not ageing that is an improvement on the way he looked before. This is a clear example of why hitting the gym at virtually any age will have you looking fantastic.

I don't think it's so much about men aging well. I think men tend to grow into their looks in their 30's. Think about how hot girls were in high school and how goofy and dorky the guys were. I think women hit their peak attractiveness between 17-22.

As long as you don't lose your hair and you stay in shape you should be great as a man. I feel bad for this high school friend of mine - he was/is an incredible looking guy only he went stone bald after college and his head looks so goofy now - it's HUGE. He has to rock a baseball cap constantly to look decent (and he kills it at the gym obviously to try and compensate), but it's rough for a 35 year old guy to have to wear a baseball cap everywhere. That's for college kids to be honest. We've never even discussed it - it's just obvious that unless it's a wedding or something remotely formal he'll show up with one of his 500 baseball caps on. And when he does have to go bald at a wedding or something you can tell he's a different guy - it's like he's Clark Kent to his normal Superman.

Why doesn't he wear a flat cap or something else instead? I agree, baseball caps are basically unwearable once you hit 25.

Clint Eastwood was a stud into his 50-60s. He's in his 80s now so not much you can do at that point. Then again Hugh Heifner looks great, but hes been banging 10s all his life.

Im fortunate to have plenty of hair at 28. Does anybody who does not have balding problems know how to slow or stop the process? Using Rogaine everyday seems like overkill til I notice a problem. Some forks are natural, but if i start losing anywhere else im going to act fast!

well, now with hair transplants and rogaine men dont need to loose their hair. the other key is avoiding eating shit and exercising some. brad pitt, johnny depp, and tom cruise are like 50 years old. and in with the execption of cruise they smoke.

just use val kilmer as a cautionary tale

PM me if you're interested. Propecia is amazing but expensive. The generic Finasteride is essentially 5 doses of Propecia per pill and it's about 5% of the cost. The problem is that you need to have a doctor who is lax or who you are cool with to get it prescribed.



These are the puppies you want - they're covered by most health insurances (unlike Propecia) and you just nibble off 1/4 of the pill every morning. I've been on it for 6 years but unfortunately my Dr up here wouldn't prescribe it for me last fall. I need to cross my fingers and try a new one soon.

Tom Cruise v's Kelly McGillis is fucking astounding. I'd kill to know what kind of HGH that Cruise and Pitt have access to, and if they've had hair implants at all.

Tom Brady and Ben Affleck have both had tons of hair work done.

Dude that's the 5mg dosage. Propecia (or your dosage) is 20% of that.

Going bald is a problem if you have a strange head or are below average facially. However, look at dudes like Jason Statham, Kelly Slater or Freddie Ljungberg... They look cool with their hairlines.

I used to be bothered about mine, this forum helped me not to be.

If you look at Style he is bold and he get's it spraytanned. I really don't think there is the same stigma about boldness that once existed. Not that it is anything I have to worry about, my hair grows too dam quickly.

Yep, be very careful with that shit. It's commonly used during steroid cycles but is quickly falling out of favour due to cases of irreversible erectile dysfunction.

What the fuck, Tim Mcgraw looks better at 45 than he did at 25. LMAO at Val Kilmer.

Henry Rollins doesn't look to bad for being born in '61. I think he would knock off some years if he dyed his hair black and just kept it buzzed. Of course he's looking rough in the face but I would put money on the table that he could pick up late 20 year olds in America if he dyed his hair, kept it buzzed and made sure his gray beard never showed.

Houston: My hair has about the same extent of grey as Rollins. It's a PITA to dye it if you have a buzz cut. The roots show through really quickly - my hair grows fast. I experimented with longer hair in a style where the roots don't show, but it just didn't look right. The point about keeping the grey beard down is good - shave every day. I recently dyed my eyebrows (not solid colour, just a tinge) and I think it looks better than grey, even though it's darker than my head hair - brings my eyes out more.

I recently turned 25. Had dreads for awhile. Started buzzing my head with a 0 about a year or two ago, so basically I'm bald. Best decision I ever made. Looks great one, makes me look a lot more masculine and puts focus on my facial features. Best part is that's it's extremely easy to maintain.

I didn't even think about that. My hair grows real fast to, I have to shave it at least every other week or it looks like a chia pet. I guess I'll have to let it grow out a little like his in the 2nd picture when I get older. I don't know.
