It could be both. If his church taught him how to be a man according to the good book (how to be a good leader, decision maker, head of the family, spiritual leader, main provider, etc.), then that's what likely did it. A well-raised Christian girl recognizes these qualities and is turned on by them.

Game is whatever works.

MOST gentlemen's priority when they learn game is to get laid. If getting laid, married or just a long term female in your life is your goal of game, and you achieved that because you are religious, then that's game. You played your cards and got a return.

That means if you hang around a specific dive bar and that can get you laid, then that's game.

If you move to another country because it's easier to obtain women there than it is in your home country, that's game.

If you realize that certain girls respond to you more in a blue shirt, than in a red shirt, and that musters up your confidence enough to get a lay out or even a date out of it, that's game.

All these are actions taken that lead to pussy. Game = action taken that yields results. So, if that action taken leads to your intended result, then that's game.
