Now I guess I need to delete my account and start a new one with a better picture.

I got matched with a cutie Asian girl, but she was all the way in CALGARY!
MeetMe mentioned various times in this thread is what I use for the younger 16-20 crowd, no dudes with games and lots of females, got a few chicks off it.
When I turned on my phone today I saw there was a Swipe update. Apparently they fixed the location settings.

Surprise surprise, another attention whoring app.

Maybe it's because we are both at opposite ends of extreme environments (NYC vs Tdot) I can't get non-challant exchanges like inviting girls over to turn into anything here. I just avoid it all together nowadays since it automatically makes things cold. Do you think your style/game would work in other place aside from Brooklyn, NUC?
Tinder has gotten me lazy I have like 8 girls I'm talking to but the ones whom are most down live the far the fuck away in like Barrie and other boony suburban posts.

I've noticed that the girls of Tinder, as curious and trendy as they are, still have to be coaxed a little; I have had girls on here who have seemed interested when I've suggested they come over, but who have then blocked me when I actually give them my address.
I think it's too much for them. They are excited about Tinder, but most of these girls are still pussies as far as following through with it.
I suggest to proceed with caution. Push aggressively, more so than you would with an OKCupid girl, but keep in mind that the frog still needs to be boiled slowly, or he will jump out of the pot.

I've noticed this too. That's why I go for the phone number ASAP, well before suggesting she come straight to my place. I would never conduct meetup logistics inside the Tinder or OKC apps.
Even though texting on Tinder and normal Text messaging are exactly the same, you cross an important psychological barrier when you're texting from your personal phone number, rather than through the app.
Soup - another Tinder trick that I learned from your OKC posts: after we've agreed to "grab a quick drink sometime" I tell the girl to "text me with lots of smiley faces" or something along those lines, and then leave her my number.
It's a great test to see if she's truly interested in you, or just attention whoring. The attention whores won't take that extra step to text you, but the DTF girls will.
After that, I pull a bait and switch, and suggest she come over to my place for the drink, rather than going out somewhere. If she says no, then at least I have her number and can text again in a few weeks. If she said no on Tinder, it would be game over.
Like you said; move slowly but deliberately so you don't scare the cat.

I like that bait and switch.
Another thing I did with Tinder was to initially set my range to one mile, and swiped all the girls in that area until it started to slow down. Then I went to two miles, three, etc.
I'm not sure if Tinder puts a limiters on, but I wouldn't put it past them to do so.
I've been getting girls numbers by saying "we should text bc there are too many messages on this thing"
I also test girls availability during the day by saying "nice day not to be stuck in an office"
What kind of openers are you guys using successfully?

Another thought about Tinder- there are a lot of girls who are afraid or embarrassed to open a profile on OKCupid. Tinder leaves a greater place for them to hide, and if everyone's doing it, they can use that as plausible deniability. Three cheers for this app so far..
Quote:so, obviously you’re aesthetically interesting, but a buddy of mine was looking over my shoulder just now and claimed that – without a doubt – your profile was written by a guy; he says any profile with so little information makes him suspicious. [EDITOR'S NOTE: change the part after the semicolon as needed. it doesn't matter what it actually says. don't make it complimentary, and don't get specific. if it's a confusing non sequitur, so much the better. run, hamster, run.]
he claimed that there were a million dead giveaways. I came to your defense, of course, but it got a little out of hand and now we’ve got a $20 bet going as to whether or not you’re really a girl. so, just between you and me, am I about to lose $20?

this is my exact experience. at first I was all excited about it, and over the last week I have had 20+ conversations on tinder here in NYC with what appear to be quality girls. have yet to actually meet one yet because they always flake and never want to meet. my pics arent bad. I think the girls here are just playing around. I usually try to move them from the tinder messaging app to text right away because I have use that to qualify them.
