RE: Cell Phone Infection in 3rd World
I do agree that cell phone addiction is a reality, I do not find it effects my day to day interactions with women.

On dates, they never take out their phones.

If I run into a woman I know on the street (who is walking and using) she puts it away or hides it.

Sure there are times when a phone makes an appearance. They are tools after all. Checking an address, show time, transit schedule, etc.

Cell phone addiction in women gives me a lot of laughs as well. At least one per day.

- Girl in my building who is a social media rockstar who cant go more than 5 seconds (truth) without a ping, gets out of her car. She has the trunk popped and between getting out of the driver seat (with her hands full; Purse, coffee and cell) to go to the trunk she has to check her phone. One too many tasks and she drops it on the street. Smashed screen. Ha.

- Hot Asian bimbo wanting to walk across the street on a red. She is scrolling her phone. The guy beside her shifts his weight and she takes that as a cue to start walking. A car honks and hits the brakes and swerves around her. All the attention is on her so she accesses her Social Anxiety Pacifier © and once more resumes scrolling on her phone like nothing happened.

Near death can not stop this. Might as well get used to it and learn to laugh at it.

Cracked me the fuck uup

I feel that you, and others in this topic, would enjoy a book titled "Alone Together" that speaks of this phenomenon. Alone Together It's quite sensationalist and talks about how smartphone culture has destroyed authentic relationships. Since then, I often put my phone on silent (protip) such that I am always in control of when I check if someone texted / called.

Don't let your phone (slave) become your master..

Another thing, sometimes I will encounter a girl that is using her phone a bit too much and it borders (or crosses the line of) being rude. Instead of getting upset, you can try to say something without chastising her. With a smile, say "You know, if right now is a bad time and you'd rather be emailing, we can reschedule..." She'll usually get the hint, say sorry and stop using her phone. You've made your point that you don't appreciate it and if she wants to be with you that she can't continue that behavior. Remember that while you may consider it very rude and "common sense", not everyone considers it rude. If none of her friends think anything of it, she has no reason to assume you, a guy she doesn't really know yet, would either. I find it's good to let them know what you think and give them a chance to make a decision before making a big deal out of it.

Have to respectfully disagree. I have not yet encountered cell phone problems on a date with a girl. If this situation in society gets worse you have to act against it. Men have to lead. You cannot appease insanity; human interaction should not be shunned.

My inner perspective is self respect over pussy any day. If some chick starts pullin' her cell phone on my date, there is no thoughts of me caring about what her friends think of phone use or what her habits are. I am out the door ditching her like an old holey pair of socks.

Be careful not to confuse self-respect with tantrum. Running away is hardly leading.

Meh, anyway, I'm not going to argue. If walking away and going home alone works for you, keep doing it. I prefer to do it this way so that she can put it in her bag and then we can continue our dinner before taking her back to my place and banging her all night. Never had an issue with it.

This is good: set standards diplomatically, if she can't pick up on that approach then bailing makes sense.

It's IMO especially a problem with the younger girls (18-20 yo). I have a "semi regular" 19 yo GF (coming straight from the russian deep provinces) whose thumbs are sticked to her phone. The first thing she reaches for when she wakes up is her phone. At first I found that funny, but now it annoys me. Limit unsufferable. But still, not annoying or unsufferable enough to kick her out of bed in the morning (wink).

PS: yes, the way she dresses is sometimes embarrassing ))
