Flair indicated to the UPI that he intends to pay Beems the full sum, potentially as soon as this week.

“The reason I didn’t pay my ex-wife the 32 grand is because my son died and I was in the hospital for a month,” Flair said, according to the UPI. “I was in the hospital for a month with a blood clot. I didn’t go to work for three months.”

The story says "spousal support" , so I'm assuming he's being arrested for being late with alimony payments to this bitch after she filed for divorce, harassed his girlfriend, his son died, and he spent a month in the hospital and three months off work.

There's an interview of him where he essentially says, "I"m a broken old man but I have to keep wrestling to pay child support."

It's kinda "gay" to say this, but it made me a little sad.

As a kid growing up, guys like Ric Flair and Hulk were practically gods to me.

Then you grow up and realize they're just a couple of chumps who get run through the meat grinder like everyone else.

Here's an artice from 2009. This alimony bullshit has been dogging him for years. There's no escape from this prison, either, as alimony just keeps building up when you don't pay.

I could have swore that wwe hired him as some sort of ambassador for wrestling and help him with his debts for all he has done for wrestling when things got really bad, iirc he never paid taxes in the 80s, 90s and 2000s and ended up owing millions to the IRS(no not Mike Rotunda. the other IRS) but I have no idea, I haven't really watched wrestling in years.

It literally is almost NO POINT to get married if you are man of means
1.) you can replace that woman when you inevitably get tired of her
2.) she can't sue you for money when she inevitably gets replaced
3.) it doesnt make sense to put a legal document on something thats supposed to be "spiritual" anyway.

It's a fucked up situation, but it always happens to some top tier wrestlers in the WWE.

They're away from home most of the time doing tours and everything and the wives at home can't take it any more. So now, that they see that their husband is making some money, the Pokemon decide to drop them.

Hogan's wife Leg Dropped their relationship. All the Pokemon Ric Flair dealt with are trying to figure four leg lock him in with those alimony payments.

That being said, Ric Flair is prolly the most energetic old guy that I know on TV. He'll bounce back hopefully.

As far as I can tell, alimony exists to prevent women from falling in socioeconomic status after a divorce. If a middle class man fails, he becomes lower class. If a woman fails, the system is designed to search for any males in proximity and leech money in order to justify their current levels of comfort in society.

They're the same group of people who vote overwhelmingly, and the system understands women are almost always entirely blind to their own societal privilege. As long as they get to keep their personal status, they'll throw anyone else under the bus; as long as government is oppressing a different group of people, they largely can't care if the legislation is biased. Men mostly do not contest a woman's word because they're too thirsty to even consider the implications of assigning equal rights without allocating equal responsibility.

This poor man will eventually be thrown into the "nonexistent" feminist debtors prison system and treated as a violent criminal. Just another everyday travesty in the Misandrist States of America.

Oh absolutely, no point at all if you look at it rationally. The problem is some guys meet women and for whatever reason throw rationality out the window once they fall in love. "She wouldn't do that to me", "she's not like the others", "she's my best friend", etc. etc. And it doesn't matter how rich or successful they are in other parts of their lives. Once they meet a woman who knows how to play the game and play the man it's game over doesn't matter if they are a pro wrestler with scores of groupies they can fuck every night or a random blue collar worker.

It should be illegal to marry a girl until you have lived together for ten years. Would cut out a lot of bullshit and save some good men from having to pay some bad women for the rest of their lives.
