In light of everyone's attitude toward flip-flops, I thought I'd share a little "routine" that I've used successfully a few times now, and was actually inspired by a recent thread in this forum. It seems to work nicely on a few different levels: as a successful opener for otherwise decent prospects, as a subtle neg, and as a public service for every American guy out there.

If enough of us do it, we might be able to stem the tide.

Sample Dialog

Tuthmosis [to girl(s) in flop-flops]: "You know, flip-flops are bad for your health." [pointing at her feet]

Girl: "I know, right. People keep telling me that."

Tuthmosis: "You're playing with your own life. Plus, they're not even that stylish. You can do better." [smiling]

Girl: "Yeah. But they're so comfortable!"

Tuthmosis: "Walking around in just my Corona boxer shorts is comfortable too."

Girl laughs. [Proceed to other topic]

Scenario 2

Tuthmosis [to girl(s) in flop-flops]: "You know, flip-flops are bad for your health." [pointing at her feet]

Girl: "What do you mean?"

Tuthmosis: "Haven't you heard? There are a bunch of studies* that show they mess up your bones and can even kill you."

Girl: "Are you serious?"

Tuthmosis: "Of course. Do I look like the kind of guy that tells random girls lies? Besides, they're not even that stylish." [smiling]

Girl: "Yeah. But they're so comfortable!"

Tuthmosis: "Walking around in just my Corona boxer shorts is comfortable too."

Girl laughs. [Proceed to other topic]

As a man with a foot fetish, a hot girl with nice feet wearing flip-flops is like seeing a naked girl.

However this is good advice to keep the frame of reference that you're higher value than her.

Sometimes when I approach I bring up the girl's footwear if I like them and compliment how her feet looks, a little neg like this in addition is good to try next time.

I'm a fan of this. Its a really good general opener as well, seeing as 99% of the time you go anywhere in the US you're going to see a girl in flipflops.

I use flip flops as a compliment to girls who aren't wearing them:

"I can tell you are of extremely high caliber because you aren't wearing flip flops." Of course this must be said sarcastically to imply you are over the top otherwise you risk feeding her ego too much


I use flip flops as a neg:

"Isn't it dangerous to wear flip flops on a dance floor?"

Noooooo!!! I agree with enfant. I am also a man with a foot fetish, I wouldn't do anything that would deter women from wearing flip-flops. What exactly about flip-flops disgusts you guys?

I am already running similar routines like this, usually it's just an opener:

"Wow really?" (looking down or disgusted stare)

"What?"

"Flip-flops are so lazy and unattractive. Your heels are in your purse aren't they?"

Works every time.

Not yet, but it's early still. It's probably only a matter of time, since some bitches are pretty easy to offend. I once offended a girl by simply saying she looked "like someone who goes out a lot." LOL.

Note to self: that's actually a good neg I need to start using.
