Bitch/Cunt Characters in movies and TV
Years ago, it was common to have villainous cunty women in movies and tv shows. Now that would send you to the hate crime tribunals.

The ugly town spinster, the overbearing mother-in-law, the bitch that everyone despises.

Basically, they were shaming behaviors back then which are glorified now. What back then would be considered bitchy and worthy of ridicule is called "strong and independent" or "career oriented" or "you go gurlism."

So what are some cunt characters?

I'll start with one. Miss Gulch. The homely town spinster in the Wizard of Oz. Perpetually angry and petty. We all know why she is angry, they don't have to spell it out for us. Later on the Miss Gulch character becomes the Wicked Witch of the West (same actress) because everyone knows homely spinsters are witches.

What are some others?

Take care of those titties for me.

Skyler from Breaking Bad. I hope she died. Someone tell me she did, please.

There's more but I'm drawing a blank.

Oh that's right. That's a modern day one. And the show got some grief about it (because only men should be shown as unlikeable in modern media).

Take care of those titties for me.

Nurse Ratched. The uptight cold cruel cunt in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. All the good qualities of women are absent in her. There's no compassion, no sweetness, no nurturing maternal qualities. Just a cold stare and a heart of stone. But we all know someone like nurse Ratched don't we? A coworker perhaps? A family member? She could be a modern day titan of industry. This is what feminism wants our women to become.

She's strong and independent.

Take care of those titties for me.

I was hoping Skyler would get beheaded during that Mexican mafia thing with Gustav. Nope...

This bitch pisses me off but not as much as Skyler because she's bangable. She's from Spartacus.

[Image: Lena-headey-game-of-thrones-gallery-325.jpg]

Same reason as above but she's from Game of Thrones.

Susie Essman from Curb Your Enthusiasm. Such a fucking cunt. Why do you deal with it, Larry?

According to the actress who plays Skyler, you're misogynist for hating her character.

[Excerpted quotes]

My character, to judge from the popularity of Web sites and Facebook pages devoted to hating her, has become a flash point for many people's feelings about strong, nonsubmissive, ill-treated women,” she writes. “As the hatred of Skyler blurred into loathing for me as a person, I saw glimpses of an anger that, at first, simply bewildered me.

“As an actress, I realize that viewers are entitled to have whatever feelings they want about the characters they watch. But as a human being, I'm concerned that so many people react to Skyler with such venom. Could it be that they can't stand a woman who won't suffer silently or 'stand by her man'? That they despise her because she won't back down or give up? Or because she is, in fact, Walter's equal?”

Take care of those titties for me.

I now hate the actress. The fucking balls this cunt wished she had.

RE: Bitch/Cunt Characters in movies and TV
It's funny Edmund, your examples are modern day, mine are from decades ago. Your bitch actress writes op-eds in the NY Times and does interview castigating people who don't like her character, demanding that the unlikeable be liked.

I doubt anyone in the 1970's was writing op-eds saying that people should like Nurse Ratched, that she is strong and nonsubmissive and therefore someone to be admired not despised. Do you think in the 1930's people were coming to the defense of Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch? No, back then people knew these broads with wannabe balls were repulsive and were the objects of ridicule. These characters were being bitch shamed, and everyone knew it and supported it.

Take care of those titties for me.

Here's another one. From the comedy It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

She's the over-bearing mother-in-law, an old go-to gag from old comedies. She bitches throughout the movie. The other characters in the movie despise her. You the audience despise her. At the end she slips on a banana and seriously hurts herself. All the male characters break out laughing hysterically.

Take care of those titties for me.

Basically, every 'teenage daughter' character on television seems furiously bitchy, shallow and self-obsessed, to the extent that I wonder if the modern teenage girl acts the way she does due to modelling herself on these girls as role models, hence all the Vocal Fry. Women seem *very* impressionable to attempting to make life match fantasy media.

Honestly, teenagers weren't always like that.

Interesting how the bitchy, androgynous, hipster female premiered twenty years ago.

I agree. I watched the Descendants with George Clooney the other night. His teenage daughter was such a bitch, and treated her father so disrespectfully, I had to turn it off. I have a hard time watching a teenage snot mouthing off to a grey haired adult man who stairs down at his shoes and takes it. That shit didn't fly when I was a kid.

And again I draw the distinction between bitchiness in modern movies where it is held up as a good thing, versus old movies where it was despised/ridiculed.

Take care of those titties for me.

Tia Mowry's role as "Melanie" in The Game

http://ronehiphopnc2.files.wordpress.com...lanie1.jpg

She was such a cunt.

Some of her highlights: She hit the jackpot with a star wide receiver boyfriend, was too wrapped up in her own self and career to support him, denied his initial marriage proposal, jumped on every dick in sight during their separation (seriously, even the cable guy), secretly cotton swabbed Derwin's kid, tried (badly) to manipulate everyone around her at all times. A lot of bitches loved her character, though. I think the characters were developed well in the show, because everyone who watched it had a character they loved, and a character they hated passionately.

Derwin was painfully beta, which is another lesson of game. Even if you're rich/famous/good-looking, extreme beta behavior will eventually yield terrible results for you. In Alan Roger Currie's book, Mode One, he refers to guys like this as "targets". This essentially means that his fortune or fame serves as a meal ticket or a springboard for whores/vultures.

The character played by Cameron Diaz in The Counselor.

I can't recommend that movie enough as a story about how women can destroy men.

The wife in Everyone Loves Raymond.

Typical tv formula. Buffoon husband/ father and "strong" wife keeping the household from falling apart by snipping at him .

Who can forget the epic cuntiness of Ginger from Casino. Not only did she topple Rothstein's empire, but she gave a bunch of his money to a pimp, stole his money for herself, was a horrible mother, and smashed the homie. I don't know anyone who watched that movie and didn't want to put a hit out on the sleazy bitch...though at least she was hot and was pretty upfront about her shortcomings.
