I day gamed a girl last year in Zagreb and she was chasing me for a date. We agreed a time to meet and everything but I was doing it all through Facebook messenger - I didn't have a Croatian sim and I could only chat to her when I had wifi at a bar.

Anyway, she didn't confirm with me, so me and Bojangles went to one of our favourite bars where we know the owners (who are celebs themselves).

One of the barmen told us that this powerful looking dude sitting alone was some famous guy over here in Croatia. Showed us him on Google, Facebook and so on.

Lo' and behold, 15 minutes later, the girl I was supposed to go on a date with turns up and meets with him.

She sits down opposite him, buying into him big time, but he was smooth as fuck and I genuinely don't think anything happened between them. She didn't notice me at all.

Thing is, I didn't even get pissed off. I accepted a few things; mainly that he was richer than me, more famous than me and had more value than me. No point in getting bitter about it as there was nothing I could do. She chose the dude with more value to meet up with.

I'm not put into that situation much, and this was the first and only time (that I know of, of course) where a girl has ditched plans with me to meet a guy with a lot more than me to offer. All I said was "fair play to him", because it was true.

I didn't lick my wounds. It motivated me more than anything to be that dude.

Ji Sung Park (of Manchester United fame and the most decorated Asian soccer player in history) tried to grab up on my girl in a club in Korea awhile back. Still surprised that she didn't go for it: the guy's popularity there is like the combined might of Lebron, Jeter and Tom Brady and Korean girls are notoriously mercenary.

Either have a friend who works at a bar or get in really good with the bartender and give him a nice kick back for helping you out.

Here it goes: make up all that shit online (like most interesting man in the world stuff.. Like the Croatian guy, but about you).

Roll into the bar solo.

Have your bartender wingman tell the girls that you are some famous guy and show some of the web stuff.

He can go tell the girls that you are in town visiting or something, and he can introduce you to the girls.

Tell me that's not a sick setup

You are preselected through the roof and the girls know that there is a time constraint. It's taking full advantage of their hypergamous instinct.

I've personally experienced this with a buddy of mine who came from overseas. The waiter asked him if he ever played soccer for Brazil, and he agreed. The next few minutes the two blondes sitting behind us were so intrigued they offered to buy us the next round.

It works. My brother used to go out with some buddies and they would rotate who was 'the boss'. The routine was that they all worked for whoever was 'the boss' that night and it was some work related party. They would then use 'the boss' to relate to the girls...lets say one girl was bitching about their job then they would say "oh yeah, 'the boss' is a real jerk, he never pays us on time' etc.

The boss would also reciprocate by deflecting girls and making up stories about his employees getting awards or working on crazy projects etc.

I've found that girls often use 'a celeb hit on me' stories as an obvious DHV for herself. Your response should be complete nonchalance of course. And in this case, Jeremy Piven is not ugly. Not good looking like a model? Not better looking than MANY guy actors looking for work? Sure. But ugly? Nah.
