That old bête noire of the left, Mark Regnerus, has another study out, which finds that Chrsitians who support the marriage of sodomites and sapphists are a lot more 'permissive' in other ways.

Regnerus:

At a glance, there is a pretty obvious fissure between Christians who do and do not oppose same-sex marriage. More than seven times as many of the latter think pornography is OK. Three times as many back cohabiting as a good idea, six times as many are OK with no-strings-attached sex, five times as many think adultery could be permissible, thirteen times as many have no issue with polyamorous relationships, and six times a many support abortion rights.

In other words, being OK with gay marriage, even as a self-identified church-attending Christian, is a very strong indicator of possessing very liberal sexual morals in those additional areas unrelated to the gay marriage idea — porn, “shacking-up,” no-strings sex, adultery, polyamory, abortion. There was no substantial difference between the results for the general population and the “supporting SSM” Christians. It’s those “haters” (opposing SSM) traditional Christians who are out-of-step with the “new morality” of our country. -

I don't see the point of them even pretending to be christians. At most they're just liberals who believe in god.

The thing about Christian girls is this: Why and how Christian are they? Are they Christian because:

A- They were raised that way and stuck to their beliefs?
B- They were raised that way, went through a slut period, felt bad and then went back to Jesus?
C- They converted later in life?
D- They were raised in it, and still go to church with family members and friends, but they have their doubts.

I tell Christian girls that know about Jesus and Christianity, and I did school prayer and bible study (This is true, because I’m from UK and UK is officially a Christian country…even though in reality Christianity is almost dead in UK). This lets them open up a bit. After that I never bring up religion with them, hang out a few times and get the bang.

Regarding the whole pro-gay thing, a couple of years ago I contacted a divorced woman who was a pastor’s granddaughter from online. Before I met her in person she told me that she was bi-curious. Parlay, I see what you're trying to convey here but it's a bit too simplistic in describing why Jesus came. Through the modern lens, it would appear that is the case however according to the bible Jesus came to fulfill a prophecy that God had promised to his chosen people (the Jews). It just so happened that everyone else could also be saved for their sins.

As for modern Christians also being for gay marriage, you have to look at it in the context of when it was written. The bible talks of three different types of "death". The obvious medical reasoning (your dead), a spiritual death, and the death of a family bloodline.

Remember, the Jews were for thousands of years a nomadic tribe. If two men in a tribe of 150 people decided to go gay, there's two less men that will be willing and wanting to father children. This spells the end of the tribe. The death of a family tree.

Ironically, it can be argued that homosexual behavior does lead to death in terms of the death of a family blood line, death by means of diseases (HIV,STDs,etc), and a less obviously painful death by means of a spiritual one (I used to be friends with a gay guy that my gut told me was a toxic individual. We're no longer friends).

However, the only solution the bible gives us is love one another and accept Jesus as our savior.

In Jesus' time, he hung out with tax collectors, merchants, the mentally ill, and the sick.

A proper Christian would know that being in a post sexual revolution world, homosexuality has been let out of "pandora's box". No amount of shaming is going to fix that. However, the lesson learned here is for the gays to "love their partner" in a 100% monogamous relationship. Open relationships leave the more submission individual in the relationship vulnerable which isn't loving at all.

TL;DR proper Christians (and there aren't a lot) would tell a gay man the consequences of what he is doing while suggesting the "loving" solution by maintaining a monogamous "till death" relationship.

False. Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years, but otherwise were not nomads at all. They were slaves and kings, merchants and citizens. Bedouins are nomads, the Israelites have not been. There's a big difference between being spread out around the world and being a nomad. Jews are the former, as are, say, the Greeks and Armenians.

Sorry Basil, but you're wrong. The Jews were in fact nomadic sheep herders who moved all along the middle east for many years. They eventually do in fact settle and make "kingdoms" like you describe but during the many years they keep trying to form a Jewish kingdom they would get sacked by outside powers. Jeruselum was at one point completely destroyed and the Jews became slaves of Babylonians.

There also isn't any proof of the exodus ever occurring either. No archeological record exists and the ancient records of the Egyptians leave no mention of a large labor crisis occurring from the movement of several million people. This is much more fascinating though because there are stories about a people who became rulers of Egypt and ended up destroying the government and Egyptian culture. That's a whole different discussion and thread.
