Since high school I have been living inside of Utah, and about once a month I go into Salt Lake City to hit up some bars and clubs. I think it's about time I drop some info on the city.

Myths
Salt Lake City is like 99% mormon. - No. Maybe the rest of Utah is 99% mormon, but SLC (Salt Lake City) is very different. I think it's about 30% active mormon.

You can't sleep with a Mormon - You can't sleep with a devout Mormon, and if you date them for a while they are human too so even they slip up. But there are plenty of Mormon girls who are not very into their church. You can find these girls at clubs and bars.

Facts
Bars close an hour earlier than most the country 1am - Plan for that, because of the mormon pull in the state they have all sorts of weird liquor laws.

Beer is half the alcohol. Beer in Utah is only 3% alcohol so you will have to drink more beer here to feel the same thing.

The Girls
Utah is one of the skinniest states in the U.S. There are plenty of bomb shells. Utah is about 95% white, so that's what you will usually run into. However SLC has the lowest % of white people of any city, its still like 80%. There are a lot of blonde girls. But most Mormon pioneers were British. So a lot of the girls look like British girls would look if they all took care of their teeth and ate better.

Girls will usually come from middle to high class families, and most families in Utah are very large. 6-15 kids. So even the bad girls will still be family oriented types. And are usually very close with their family, even if their family is mormon and they aren't anymore.

Points to remember while gaming
NEVER EVER talk bad about mormons, make a joke about mormons, or say anything negative about mormons. Most of these girls are Mormon just might not follow the rules, and all of them have good mormon friends. If you want a shot with a girl, it's best just not to bring it up. If they bring up their mormon past, just say "cool" and move onto something else.

Girls in Salt Lake City are a lot like girls in other cities. If you find yourself gaming a mormon girl you will have to turn your game PG rated. But if you meet her at a club just treat her like any other American girl.

It still might be a little harder to pull in SLC because there are a lot more guys who fall away from the mormon church than women.

Internet Game
I'm not a fan of internet game inside the US. Even so I think it's not the best choice here, cause you will not find the girls you are looking for.

Day Game
Day game is very ineffective here. Mostly because of the high % of Mormons. You have no funnel to get rid of the good mormon girls. Also it will blow your mind how many hot 19 year olds are married here. It's very frusterating.

However if you are going to do it I would suggest doing it around University of Utah campus.

Don't go to the popular spots like temple square. It's full of mormon tourists.

Night Game
This is your only real way to get chicks here. It's easier than you might think. I don't even live in SLC and the majority of my bangs are in this city. And all of them are from night game. And I consider myself to be bad at night game.

A Bar Named Sue - This is a bar filled with college aged girls. It's the bar I have done the best at. It has a small dance floor for a band, but it's not too loud if you are on the other side. It's a good place to go on the weekends and it's usually pretty busy. The last time I went there I met a half thai/ half white girl. Of course she used to be mormon. But I ended up walking to her house from the bar and getting the same night lay.

Club Allure - It's an ok club with about a 10$ cover charge. It's pretty popular. It plays popular club music. I haven't done very well there, but I have no dance club game. My brother has pulled a few girls from there though. It has a pretty sweet dance floor.

Canyon Inn bar/club - I went here last on a wednesday night and it was packed full of hot girls. I think it's a good spot to go during the weekdays. No cover charge.

Hookah Bar - This place is always packed on the weekends. And there are always hot girls there. It's just as much a club as a bar.

5 monkeys/ bar next to it - Bar for older people 30-50. Off and on in terms of how busy it gets.

I would not suggest going to the clubs that let in 18 year olds or that don't serve alcohol. You will see tons of cute girls but most of these will be good mormon girls.

logistics
If you stay in downtown salt lake city, close to where the Jazz play etc. You will be able to walk to a bunch of bars, and won't have to worry about transportation. This isn't a bad idea.

Taxis
You will spend about 10$ getting home for an in-city ride.

Summary
If you are going to get laid in Utah, Salt Lake City the only way to go. Just get out there at night and run your normal game.

Oddly enough I'm in Utah now. In the Provo area. I come out here to get trigger time once a year, but with my schedule it's kinda hard to "come up". I can verify that the women out here take care of themselves. I was on the range with two older females, sisters in their mid thirties, and they were both in great shape. MILFs like these could get worked on. If I had the time to run some serious game on them I'm pretty certain I could spend the evening marinating in panty gravy.

Yeah to be honest they have great mentalities. If you want to get married they will want to cook and clean and take care of the kids. Feminism hasn't hit utah as hard as other places

Do you have to be Mormon yourself to do that though? Is this the same for non-Mormon girls too?

Do you have much experience of the ski resorts immediately surrounding Salt Lake City? I have heard good things about both the city and the resorts. Would the area be good mid-Winter players playground?

I lived in Mesa, AZ and going to Mormon church was a treasure trove of beautiful women. Called 'em Whoremons. I'd wear a suit, but never anything traditional - loud colors. Worked as a DHV. Not sure how they are in Utah, but those desert mormon chicks thought it was great.

I don't have that much experience at the resorts other than canyon inn. Which is pretty ballin.

Utah is weird state. People bitch about living here and they feel sorry for each other. 'so how did you end up in utah' is common conversation.

The way I dress was perfectly normal in L.A when I visited (I felt like I belonged)
It would be considered too fashionable in utah. Wearing a blazer with v-neck and jean is the highest I can go. Wearing a full suit and shirt will look trying too hard or old.
It's like a normally dressed person in CA will get stared in Utah and a normally dressed person in Utah will get stared in Wyoming. CA>Utah>Wyoming

The state has 90% white population. If you go to Bars, it would be full of white people.
If you go to clubs, you will see a lot of black people you don't see during the day plus other ethnicities.
I don't like going to clubs because it draws all kinds of douche bags, gangsters and pretentious people. If you want to go to clubs, there are no choices. you would have to deal with DMV crowds.

The clubs are desperate for business. Women who are fat and wearing flip flops can enter the club.
You will be wondering why these girls even came out like that on sat night. You will see those quality of women passing the line because they know the bouncer.

If you come from out of states, I would venture into naive, innocent, non-materialistic girls who might came from mormon family but who is not a jesus freak.
I'd like to move to CA but I'd rather find a girl here before moving there.

I live in SLC as well and love Utah. I moved here for all the outdoor activities, so it suits my needs perfectly.

Bad Hussar, if you're looking for places to game and ski (in that order) Park City is probably your best bet. I can give you more info on the SLC resorts though if you want.

My favorite SLC places:
Hog Wallow: Good beer selection and great pizza. MILFs, trust fund ski/climber chicas, and your hippie chicks can all be found here Thursday through Saturday. Usually the live music is pretty good. Jeans and a nice button down will be fine here. Not close to downtown, you'll need a cab for sure.

The Porcupine: The female service staff here is pretty solid and would probably be receptive to solid game. Same dress code (or lack thereof) as above. Close to Hog Wallow so same transportation restrictions apply.

The Red Door: Upscale martini joint. Frequented by young professionals and MILFs out on girls' night. If there's anywhere in SLC to try Suit Game (I too have my reservations about this), this might be it.

Kristauf's: Same as The Red Door above.

The Red Door, Kristauf's, Poplar Street Pub, and Gracie's are all places within walking distance to each other downtown.

Overall, I wouldn't come to SLC for just gaming (but I'm sure that's a common feeling). In my opinion, a trip out here is better spent for skiing and stack the gaming on top of that. I'd be happy to provide ideas for where to go for apres ski and all that, some of them (Canyon Inn, etc.) have been mentioned above and in other posts.

Utah girls are fantastic. I love how fit, athletic, fun, and down to earth they are. True, you're not gonna find LA-level fashion here. Also true, a lot of those hotties are Mormon (or slightly Mormon) and looking for families to raise. But for me nothing beats chasing down a cute snowboard chica leading to tacos and beer after skiing leading to a hot tub leading to my apartment.

Also, the early marriages (and consequently early divorces) mean that there is a lot of MILFs running around. The church has trained them that a woman should look good for her man so there is not an insignificant number of women in their 30s with rock-hard legs and asses and fake tits. You can find these women at Club Allure, Habits on Thursdays, the Market Street Oyster Bar in Cottonwood Heights, and the martini bars above.

I realize this post was all over the place but I'm about four Sierra Nevadas deep into a six-pack and enjoying my day off.

Spent a few days here recently. My frame of reference is Los Angeles.

Salt Lake is easier on the average man.

Housing is affordable - you'll pay less for a multi-bedroom home here than a studio apartment in the better parts of LA.

The city is a lot less segregated - it's a lot more common to see hot girls friends with humongous fat chicks. The hot girls go to the same venues as everyone else. Compare that to LA, where it often feels like most of the hot girls are keyed into some exclusive scene that you aren't privy to. I can't speak definitively, but I wonder if it's easier to snag 8s and 9s here than in LA, where you've got to have some hustle or gimmick to get 8s and 9s with any regularity. Girls' attitudes/bitch shields are lower - I started talking to some cute girls on the street, and they were congenial. It didn't go anywhere, but it was nice to not be immediately rejected for a midnight street pickup. Downtown seemed very clean and safe, so that probably helps.

Similarly, it's more common to see a venue that has a lot of non-whites, yet still attracts a solid core of attractive white girls. In LA, when a place gets more than a few non-whites, namely Hispanics and blacks, and Asians and Persians to a lesser extent, the place is taken to be going 'downhill' and hot girls, even of other races, will stop going.

The same goes for class - you get the feeling that people of different classes patronize the same joints, or at least that there's lots more overlap than in a big, inegalitarian city like LA.

The ratio is pretty good. 50/50 ratios in regular venues are not exceptional.

A lot of dudes here have a weird fetish for big, expensive, lifted trucks. They're always in pristine condition. Shit like this:



Some guys I talked to who knew the scene said there's no shortage of sluts in SL,UT. Including girls who are up for a same night lay. According to them, they're less flakey and more monogamous, and are more likely to try and date you than girls in LA. In LA, you can bang a girl for weeks and months and not have to worry about her bringing up wanting a relationship.

One guy I was talking to was a huge sexual freak, started imploring me to DP a chick before I die (vag and ass, not vag/ass and mouth), and he had even double-analed a girl. He didn't seem to think SLC was any short of sluts.

If you're looking for venues, talk to a cool dude nearby. Just ask, verbatim, "Where can I find some sluts?" If he's cool, he will immediately take a liking to you for your boldness and forthrightness. He'll tell you some venues, some of which will pan out, some of which won't.

Venues I Saw

Red Door - small upscale martini bar. Based on what I saw when I was there - couples and groups of friends seated at tables, I cannot recommend this place as a place to pick up girls.

Poplar Street Club - Walked in here for a second, then walked out. Looked like a typical redneck joint - guys with their big trucks and bigger girlfriends sit at tables, with a few people playing pool. Didn't look like a pickup joint.

Maxwell's - A sports bar-cum-club. Has a long oval bar, a small dance floor, and tables throughout. Plays top 40 type music, young crowd. Mix of cute white girls, enormous white trash girls, busted Hispanic chicks, and some Asians. Plenty of typical white Utah guys, a few rednecks and a mix of cool and trashy black, Hispanic guys. Even saw a brown girl with a hijab in line here. Pretty hard to stick out. Feels like your standard college bar, just a little grimier and a sports bar setup. Gets a line later in the night, so show up before 11. Most meat-market type joint I saw in SLC.

The Green Pig - supposed to be popular among University of Utah kids. Sports bar. I walked in, and it didn't look like much of a meat market, so I immediately walked out. People seated at the bar and tables, well lit, groups of friends, etc.

Bar-X - Joint was full of dorky upscale hipsters - the type who wear bowties and glasses. I left because the ratio was terrible, and I didn't see many sluts prospects. It was an off-night though.

Jackalope Lounge - Not a lounge. Pub with cheap alcohol, groups of friends, pretty easy going place. Great place to start your night. Was only there on an off-night.

Circle Lounge - I stopped in when it was empty, on an off-night. Club type environment, very loud music. There was some talent, but I couldn't stand the volume of the music.

Venues I Didn't See

Inferno - one guy told me sluts love this place, and that it's a bit of a guido joint.

Metro Bar - these hipster dudes I befriended had heard that sluts and hot girls love this place. Didn't end up going.

Republican - aforementioned hipster dudes went to this place, implored me to join them but I was feeling tired, so I didn't. They thought it would have some girls, though I didn't talk to them after I went in. Often has live music I think. Irish themed.

Go downtown. There are lots of bars in this area, so unless you're completely confident that a venue outside of downtown is good, stick to downtown. There can be a few blocks between venues, so you'll do some walking. Personally, if I stick my head in a joint and see most people are seated, I figure it's probably not good for pickup.

There are some other parts of the city that may be promising. I heard of Sugar House and Cottonwood, which has venues others mentioned. I didn't get to see these, so I can't say. My internet searches did reveal that SLC has some sizable clubs.

Hit the slopes: The mountains are great for skiing and snowboarding. Most women under 40 on the slopes are bangable. I didn't really mack here, and it's not going to be as fruitful as a bar on a per minute basis. But if you're already there, it doesn't hurt to approach.

I only went out on one solid night, and was feeling under the weather, plus my host would not be pleased if I brought a ho back. From what I saw, the scene looks manageable, no doubt.

To surprise you, that's the best club in utah right now. If you go to other clubs, you will see far more trashy crowds. Sadly, I am noticing this club is going down the hill. Clubs in utah are desperate. they let any kinds of people in. So when those trashy crowds hear 'that place is cool', they show up and it brings the place down. I used to see many young fine innocent sweet looking abecrombie worker like college girls in the summer. not anymore.

Bar-X is the only place that brings LA like crowds. It's not that good since it's cold right now. In summer, you will see many hot blondes. that place has higher blonde ratio for some reason. If you are metro type dressed guy, you will feel comfortable hanging out there. In any other bars, throwing blazers, wearing slim pants (not skinny) or other trendy clothes can make you look standout. Suiting up to go out in SLC is a joke. wearing a blazer with jeans or khakis is the best outfit you can wear.

In a small town like this, it's better to have connections and go to house parties where hot chicks hangout.

Black guys usually don't go to bars. there are many of them at clubs especially playing ghetto hip hop songs. you will see next door looking white chick grinding with thug looking black guys while charming well dressed white guy is standing by himself next to them.

To be honest, I don't see them getting coffee or walking around mall together. (I am pretty sure they will get a lot of public attention)

That's because she's one of those 5%'rs, some girls just love black dudes. But the same black guy in nice clothing would do a lot better

Damn that sucks - I lived in a town like this once - lots of hot girls, but it was an absolute clusterfuck trying to cold approach them in bars. Dudes there had hot girlfriends often, but the chicks they took home were trolls. I tried working social circle game, but never got latched onto a solid circle - the people who are already set don't invite you in unless you have some affiliation with them.

As for black guys, if a girl wants them, they're not hard to find. Maxwell's had a bunch, and I'm sure there are other venues. I didn't see any ghetto black guys, did see some trashy ones and some hip ones. I'm not black, so I don't have personal experience, but if I were, I would NOT go the ghetto route. Dress hip, work out and show some skin so you still have that masculine edge, so you can appeal to more than just the hoes who only fuck ghetto black dudes. And you can probably still get those girls if you wanted to.

I'm heading out near SLC within a week (DEC 11-14 ish) for a month of work and I'm only going to get one day off a week; refinery job. While I haven't been told if I can pick one day, which would be the best day to have off If I can pick one and has any of the information above changed significantly? My own stats: 25, Hispanic, Job is in Wood Cross, UT.
