I've been there, four years ago to wind down from Salvador's Carnaval. The description is pretty accurate; it is a playground for high society with great restaurants. The bar scene is extremely chill, although there was a rave on beach when I was there. There is a Forro dance hall, but that is mostly for the poor locals rather than the visiting VIPs. The beach is beautiful. Full-service, hammocks anywere you want to plop down. Vendors coming by with oysters, quiexo, and even marijuana brownies. It is very easy to make friends and get into a social circle, where you are eating at the same restaurants and chilling at the same spot on the beach. Again, the nightlife is subdued but the way to meet people is at the beach and at the restaurants. The groups will be mixed; there were no groups of girls there to "party," instead rich friends visiting together to enjoy life. The swank area is on a cliff overlooking the ocean.

Recommended for a getaway.
