Anybody have any good info on Oktoberfest in Blumenau?

I just looked at some stuff online about it it seems pretty cool. I only drove through Blumenau when I went to Floripa from Sao Paulo for Carnival it was a hellish drive. It seems like a good time. Has any one here been to Blumenau or Joinville in Santa Catarina?

I was in Florianopolis last week and than went to Sau Paulo. I wanted to return to Floripa and visit the oktoberfest in Blumenau. I basically based my traveling schedule on the oktoberfest dates. i wish i didnt.

I looked at several youtube vids and all i see is a lot of guys drinking beer and doing stupid drunk dances. I now realize that all the Brazilian guys i met during my trip and recommending it to me, are guys who went there with a group of friends and got drunk for a few days having lots of GUY fun.

The only place where you might pick up a girl is when the band is playing and everyone is dancing/drunk. It will probably be VERY VERY hard to get laid here because most Brazil girls only kiss and hand out their (fake)phone number, never to reply to your call or text.
I experienced this several times now. Brazil girls are easy to kiss but hard to meet up for a 2nd time and SNL"s are out of the question so far.

For me its not worth it to spend 150 dollars on bus fares only to go to the oktoberfest and probably kiss a lot but nothing more. I wish i was smarter and never based so much of my schedule on the starting date of the oktoberfest. I could've stayed longer in Colombia.

Going to Rio by the end of the week.

Not getting bitter here, but its a giant struggle so far. 10 days in Brazil and went out most night, lots of kissing , not getting laid.

I went out around Rua Augusta ,which I recommend..lots of street life!

Sau Paulo is just another big city to me.

Yeah, Augusta street is great, been there 3 or 4 times now. Tonight i will go to D-Edge club. Supposed to be the best for Mondays.

Sau Paulo has many fuckable girls but not so many stunners. I,m also trying to bang my ex-girlfriend here but she has a new boyfriend and won't budge.

Made it to Blumenau for Oktoberfest. It is absolutely crazy. Costs 8 reais to get in as a student and i think 18 reais to get in otherwise. If you wear the traditional german clothing you get in for free... Draft beers ( chopps in portuguese ) are 4.50 reais, bottled water 2 reais, loaded baked potato 12 reais, brazilian hot dog 6 reais. There are three giant expo centers each with a stage and a band. Tons of beautiful women but also tons of people acting like drunken idiots. Very hard to game girls because of the general atmosphere; noisy, nowhere to sit, people too drunk to converse. Also, most people go and take busses home late in the morning so that is your best chance to close. Very difficult to find hotels in the area unless you book in advance. My reccomendation: go to have a good time and drink a lot of great beer and to have the experience...don't go if your only objective is gaming.

Brazilian girls are in general not the easiest girls to bang...Catholicism/cristian families/way children(spec.women) are raised still plays a role in the country's mindset , even in big cities like SP.SNLs are not the norm, Usually you will get those only with modern/cool/older chicks who hang out in trendy/alternative spots.And with some sluts here and there that you find on the way.Trust me it SNL happens here, but it will never be the same as lets say America where it is quite "normal" for a girl to pursuit one night stands.Trust me, we struggle here to get things done.Its like walking on eggs,one false step and the girl freaks out and bye bye pussy.

That and the fact that game and feminism are growing in Brazil, as Roosh pointed.

That's interesting that all signs seem to point towards things getting worse for guys in Brazil.

Any insights on why this phenomenon is occuring, it sounds like the need for "American style game" is becoming more prevalent?

One thing I don't get though, it seems that a lot of guys from the U.S. seem to do better and get more pussy, and more easily when it Brazil. I am probably not the best example, because my game was weak at the time, but I got 2 lays in 3.5 weeks when I went to Brazil, and I'll be honest, that's way better than how I normally fare in the U.S.

Oh yeah, this seems to contradict Amour Fou's comparison with Honolulu , as far as easy of sex goes.

I struggled in Floripa, went for t harder in Sau paulo and even harder in Rio, Was on a 18 day cold streak where i went out almost all those night. Last week i had two SNL in a row. You never know here in Brazil but i think its because i changed technique on those girls.

At least , in my experience, 90% of my bangs occur in the 2nd or 3rd date.Rarely I'm able to bang in the first night I met a girl,even playing caveman.
What works form me in SP is usually this.

1)Meet a girl in the club/bar and makeout,pushing to bang in the same night.Usually she won't accept,but sexual tension has been built so I get real phone numbers and an agreement to meet later.
2)Meet her for a 2nd time in a bar/pub of my choice,and take her to the motel/hotel after some kissing.

Keep in mind that I don't have a very tight game and my logistics are bad(Don't have my own apartment).

It would be great to hear from Amour if he has a different perspective in Rio.
