This should actually be a thread under a proper title.

It's about a morbidly obese woman that the Gillette company is promoting as an example of "body positivity" -- to massive negative blowback. She's now being interviewed on the Today Show and Good Morning America, where they're practically making her a martyr.

The thread should be called something like "Gillette Promotes Morbidly Obese Woman As 'Body Positive' or something.

To me, this is more evidence that the globalist conglomerates have declared war on ordinary citizens, especially men. They put corn syrup in our food to make us fat fucks, promote tattoos for women on their idiotic cable networks, and now tell us the fat ugly shrews all of that produced are "role models" we should admire.

This promotion of extreme obesity (not tolerance of 'big boned' women or anything that could conceivably be viewed as natural) is pretty terrible for women too. Anyone, man or woman, who falls for this propaganda will end up suffering from severe physical and mental health problems.

I honestly don't understand how anyone could want to be obese or think that it's in any way desirable. Even if attraction is 100% socially constructed, or men deep down found fatties attractive and just won't admit it because of social pressure, no one can legitimately argue that diabetes, heart attacks, shorter life-spans, low productivity, depression etc are not real consequences of obesity. Of course, I'm preaching to the choir here...

It's reassuring to see that a lot of commenters on Twitter also don't buy into the body positivity insanity.

I have noticed a trend in the past 2-3 years where average to normal looking guys are now dating fat and borderline obese women. This is another sign of male thirst levels reaching insane levels. What many don’t realize is if these women who are in their early to mid 20s look like this now, imagine what they will look like in a few years when their metabolism slows down and their ability to lose weight gets harder. It won’t be pretty.

Way too many fatties have this mentality that society has to accept their growing fat asses due to the whole female body positive trend. What they don’t realize is that they are being set up for serious health problems that have dire consequences down the road that will be very expensive to treat and manage such as diabetes, strokes and even heart issues. If these trends continue ,this generation of women will have a shortened life span compared to the recent past two decades.

I used to be somewhat tolerant of fatties a few years ago. The combination of an exploding obesity epidemic, "fat acceptance" culture and thirsty men banging/wifing these girls up has pushed me towards shunning them.

I don't advocate being outright mean, but a subtle look of disgust if you meet in social situations goes a long way. Other small moves like ignoring them in mixed groups with their more attractive friends also works.

If she doesn't care enough about herself to maintain a reasonable figure why should you reward her with your attention? You're doing these girls a favor and motivating them to do better by not feeding the 'fat is beautiful' lies they tell themselves.

I'm from West Virginia, one of the fattest states in the country... maybe the fattest. I remember a decade or so ago having that moniker as a huge source of shame and disparagement. I'd read comments on articles from left wing websites chiding the populations of these areas as uneducated, disgusting, obese plights on the nation.

Fast-forward a few years when the lazy, entitled, do-nothings with constant access to social media who spend their days indulging in a gluttonous stupor in carbs, IPAs, social media mentions, and blog-bitching and you find twitter fueled movements of fat acceptance.

It was all a source of comedy and derision when white, Christian, conservative, non-college educated, blue collar rubes from flyover country were overweight.

When it's a purple-haired 28 year old daughter of an attorney living NYC and blogging for Mediaite, they become an oppressed group.
