The obvious answer is to next, but for guys that live in a rural area and dont get to the city much, is there anyway to navigate this problem without losing face and set up a new date at the next urban visit?

Reasons vary, some are crap like they didn't plan their work properly, others are family emergencies for traditional cultures...

Just let her work and make effort to reschedule. (you go radio silent until she contacts you for reschedule)

Did she say sorry and sound apologetic?

This might be a hard thing to accept for some:

When a girl sends you a cancellation text like "sorry something came up tonight" in many cases she's actually telling you the truth.

That "something" could be the guy who's more attractive than you taking priority for the date, or anything in between. I had a girl cancel on me to go get some doughnuts with her housemates, and I'd already fucked her.

You need to see if the girl makes a counter offer like "...but I'm free to meet up on Thursday...etc". If she doesn't do this then most of the time she's not interested in meeting up.

I don't have too much experience with successfully turning around last minute cancellations, but here's one I remember:

Me: "Hey let's meet in X at 8"

Her: "Perfect I'll see you there"

(3 hours later)

Her: "I'm kinda sick at the moment, you still ok to meet up? wouldn't want to make you sick"

(30 mines later)

Her: "Hey I'm actually really sick, gonna have to cancel tonight, I'm so sorry"

Me: "You have to go it's very important (devil emoji)

Her: "Haha, really now?"

Me: "Yes, see you at 8"

Her: "I'm very sick though

(5 minute delay)

Her: "Ok fine but if youre sick don't blame me (laughing emoji)"

I fucked her that night.

As you can see she gave me ample opportunity to act like a beta and try to reschedule, but instead I met her texts with silence and went ahead with my plans.

Edit: One other key thing to look out for is over use of "sorry" by the girl. If she truly has a legit reason to cancel, and she tries to reschedule, there's no reason for her to say "sorry" over and over again.

If a girl uses the word multiple times in a single text, she's most likely just talking shit.

I avoid all of this by never actually setting up dates, which I highly recommend.

If I get a girls phone number I will text her on Wednesday or Thursday. "Come out on friday, we are are hitting up X bar"

Doesnt matter what she says. If she comes great. If not, I was already going there to hit on girls anyway.

Assuming she doesnt come, or if she doesnt even respond, ill send out another text two Fridays from then (not next week but the week after)

"I saw a fiesty chipmunk today, it reminded me of you. me and my ppl are hitting up X bar, bring your ppl, come alone, heck you can bring your sugadaddi if you want."

Regardless of what she says I will give her one more chance in three weeks. On saturday around 430 I will text "ditch your plans I am cooler come out with me were headed to X bar tonight"

At that point ill never text her again unless she reaches out and tries to set up a date. Nothing else you can do.

I'm going out with a girl this Saturday who i ran the same forumla with that i met in the middle of december (4 months from meet to "first date" lol). I only sent one text invite per month. She finally agreed to meetup. Had I been desperate it never would have happened

You should start doing things in your life to enable you to relocate where there is an abundance of women. A horny young man shouldn't be relegated to rural areas unless he's locked down in an LTR or with a wife and kids.

To have abundance mentality, you need abundance.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Everyone talks about abundance mentality, but the reality is for many men, that is an extremely hard attitude to develop when there simply aren't options around. Other than becoming absolutely delusional with the reality in front of you - in this case delusional in a good way - it's nearly impossible to think that way. It's always easier said than done, especially if you have profesional ties to where you are.

That said, how small is the town you are in? You might be surprised if you look hard enough, or maybe just scoot a town over or two.

I usually change the meet time by about 15 min shortly before I plan leaving, that way I basically get her to confirm she's actually getting ready and about to leave. Usually they say something like "perfect, im running late anyway".

I've never actually had a no show or cancelling literally 5 min before the meet time. I'd never excuse that unless she apologized and offered her next available time to meet.

That's a great strategy for never getting stood up, I also never had a no show. I usually confirm it indirectly by talking with her the day of the date and then using your strategy.

The girls who have cancelled on me (usually the night before)were for the following reasons (as far as I know):

-Planned too far ahead
-The date was too early in the morning/too late at night.
-First date on a weekend (She came up with better plans)

If they offer a reschedule then I give them one more chance, if they just give me an excuse with no intent on their part then I usually just acknowledge it and move on to other girls.

If I really had no other girls to move on to, then I might send a restart text in 2 to 4 weeks and gauge her reaction.
I think this is the few cases where having an instagram could be useful, you keep being in the back of her mind in a more natural way when she sees your posts and you can also send a restart text that seems less desperate.

But honestly this hardly works out, when she cancels and doesn't offer a reschedule I just assume it's over, and even if she would be willing to go out with me, Why would I go out with a girl who is not 100% into me?

Bingo.. this is what I usually do. In my experience 3/4 of the time they will contact you back wether it is the next day or 2-3 weeks from the scheduled date. But eventually most of them do. I think its because it makes most women feel like crap if they don't contact you back after they flaked but who knows. Especially if your indifferent when she cancels on you the best way to act is like it doesn't bother you. Then go out anyways and take pics of you having fun or with friends and another girl or 2, put them on social media. Provided she's your friend on Social Media that should do the trick. OH and move on to the next girl. Odds will be she will eventually hit you back up and when she does want to make plans again tease her about her flaking that last time. She owes you.

Yeah exactly. lying next to me after hooking up she said the text made her laugh and that it was the only reason she didn’t cancel ultimately.
