Collapse of the EU? - Predictions
Hello,

What do you all think of the state of the European Union? Do you think it will collapse? If so, when?

I believe this is critical to note, because if the EU collapses we will inevitably, in my opinion, see an outbreak of war, first and foremost in the Balkans.

For those of us on RVF who live in the area, therefore, it is important to speculate as to the future of the EU.

RE: Collapse of the EU? - Predictions
I don't know when but it increasingly looks like the nationalist populist (led by Orban, Salvini, Kurz, etc.) will crush the pro centralized EU/open borders globalists (led by the cuck Macron) in the upcoming EU parliamentary elections held in May.

This will accelerate the implosion. Furthermore, the one country that could permanently fuck the EU is Italy. If Italy decides to stay strong and continues to tell the EU to fuck off on their budget deficit demands, that could potentially destroy the EU as Italy is a key country in the block.

RE: Collapse of the EU? - Predictions
Just saw that report by German intelligence of a break by 2040. I just fear that this could happen much, much sooner. And although I don't support the EU or globalism, I will be in Europe for the next year. So it doesn't help me personally if everything collapses. Then again, it would take SOME time before war breaks out - maybe 2030/2040... I think the globalists will push hard to stop Trump from re-election in 2020, but if he wins, I think the fragmentation of the EU could happen by 2025.

I would begin investing in Hungary or Poland if I had money.

Also I was thinking about this, idk why: Soros is from Hungary. His policies are leading to the opposite of what people claim he wants (i.e. globalism). What if he is actually a Hungarian nationalist, who is so intelligent, and so far ahead of our minds, that he has foreseen that globalism would spark a nationalist reaction, crumble the West (including Germany – Soros is originally Jewish so perhaps he wants to get retribution for Holocaust?), and restore Hungary and the Central European states to Power? Sounds absurd but anyways just an odd speculation – he would be way ahead of us in chess moves that point.

Hey man. I like the Austro-Hungarian Empire too. They're fairly interesting in video games and movies and so on.

Great Power... more like Great Beer... Never a superpower (except for that one time fluke of running Spain) and probably never can be a superpower in the future. Just not enough people nor resources in that region.

RE: Collapse of the EU? - Predictions
I doubt it will collapse to be honest... I do think it will mutate in something else. It's obvious most members are getting fed up with the meddling from the EU in the internal affairs... But it's also obvious that the EU brought prosperity to the poorer countries and that we need a strong united EU to protect our borders. So my guess is that the EU will have less power after the upcoming elections but that there will be more engagement to start a European Army and stricter cooperation between security services to protect the borders.

But...

I could be wrong

Was just thinking of the bygone Austro-Hungarian Empire. A lengthy golden age of tradition and splendour, right? Well - it just struck me that it only lasted for 50 years. 1867-1918. That was it for the fabled Austro-Hungarian Empire. The Soviet Union lasted just a little longer, yet seemed like the enduring endpoint of history if you were in the middle of it.

The Austro-Hungarian empire itself was short-lived but it was the successor state to:
The Austrian Empire (1804-1867)
The Austrian Habsburg monarchy (16th Century-1804)

Although the empire went through various reorganizations, the Habsburg dynasty remained on the throne for centuries.

If it collapses, I can afford to buy some vacation property in Estonia.

That's about as likely as:

- Macron actually being a player who bangs young female supermodels in the Élysée Palace
- Theresa May being a secret neonazi cultist who wants to incite the British into rising up and ethnically cleansing their homeland

So in other words, no way.

Since he was a Nazi collaborator, I doubt that he cares about the Holocaust at all. He just hates everyone.
