I prefer WhatsApp. I don't like adding girls to Facebook and the Instagram messenger can be a bit glitchy (plus my Instagram needs a lot of work still so I usually just follow girls if they ask for it or if I'm pipelining for a trip several weeks/months in advance).

Unfortunately Australians don't seem to use WhatsApp that much (one particularly stupid girl even thought that I was a bot on tinder because I asked if she had WhatsApp). So here I text. But for overseas - or with foreign students - it's very useful.
