Instant Chill Playlist
Hey guys,

Here is a nice playlist that I use a lot. Definitely not going to suit everyone’s taste but I have gotten a lot of compliments from using it at house parties, chill time with a special lady and for getting people in the mood pre-gaming. Plus if you remember the name you can search for it on a girl’s laptop when you’re back at her place for good vibes in a jiffy!

Anyway take it or leave it…

Peace

If anyone has anything playlist of their own post them up, always trying to expand the music collection.

I think I'll just take a few artists, and create my own playlist on MOG

Whats MOG man?

Made this myself from songs I like. I use it all the time. Take out songs I get sick of and add in songs that I hear that I like. I have a few other ones that I listen to that aren’t mine but I have found these from people I know who made them. There is a playlist search function on YouTube but it’s generally kind of rubbish.

Again back to using it in a game way: if you make your own playlist and a girl plays a tune you like at a party or wherever ‘’that’s not bad, I’ll put it on my playlist’’. Girls like the idea that you have ‘music taste’ and have gone to the effort of creating a playlist. Guess it shows a level of personal standards and that you look for value in different areas of your life. As opposed to just listening to what is considered to be the popular tunes at the moment.

I use this a lot for when you have a girl alone at her place: turn on playlist and light up a smoke on the balcony. By playing the music that you choose (or borrowed but she doesn’t know that) in a social situation you are controlling the dynamics to a point and having the more dominant frame. Plus I just liking playing my own tunes instead of listening to some crap that girls might be into haha!

Boourns, MOG is a no-go in LOS.

I can't have sex with your personality, and I can't put my penis in your college degree, and I can't shove my fist in your childhood dreams, so why are you sharing all this information with me?

Speaking of Kanye, Watch The Throne tour is going international.

http://thisbeatgoes.com/hip-hop-news/wat...nal-dates/

Of those locations, I would really consider:

May 29 - Stockholm. Oh man, blondes!

June 1/2- Paris. Literally rockin' out to N*ggas in Paris while in Paris. Win-win.

Good stuff Irishman.

I've always always used Stereolab's Dots and Loops to set "instant chill" moods; upbeat yet chill, hypnotic, goes on for an hour and a half. Time tested and proven. Dots and Loops (Flowers Called Nowhere) was also the inspiration for the infamous video Pharrell Williams made "Pharrells Best Filacio Music" (the smile on his face is funny as hell; "The BEST P------- music there is")

The album Speck of Gold by Afterlife:

Dude! Dots and Loops is one of my top 5 albums of all time. Fucking brilliant. They were may fav band in the late 90s. Flower called nowhere is ingenious, the weird waltz-like timing. I'm still not sick of hearing it after 15 years. You know what, I was also listening to Pharrell being interviewed on a local radio station years ago and he was hyping that song and Stereolab in general. I love Pharrell too!

I don't know what happened to Stereolab but their last few albums started to all sound the same and they just hit a wall where they couldn't seem to do anything new or inspired. Kinda of sad to see them fizzle out like that.

Suba's São Paulo Confessions is one of my favorite albums of all time, not just in chillout/downtempo/acid jazz. Album starts out nice and slow then builds up. Good for sex.

RE: Instant Chill Playlist
Nice thread, I love this sort of music. Props to Irishman and others who have kicked in with some sweet tunes.

Awesome call with Stereolab, they get so much less love than acts like Air and Royksop.

Just put to together a random top 40 of my fav chillout tunes of all time - most 90's> but I threw in a few genuine old school tunes. I listen to this sort of stuff to calm myself and meditate, while writing, sleeping, small parties and recovery sessions after a big one. Oh and most is great for more intimate entertaining as well.

Enjoy!

@Irishman

I just got through about half the playlist the other night. Good stuff man! I don't like most people's taste in music, but your taste pretty similar to mine.

@Everyone
Maybe we should make a Forum youtube playlist. Everyone could contribute like 10 songs to it. And we can always keep it growing and fresh with the latest music.We would just have to make sure everyone is on the same page as far as what kind of stuff we like. Maybe we can even do a second playlist for creating a party vibe. If you guys like the idea, let's talk about it. Is youtube the best format for something like this though? The copyright enforcers there just pull a lot of shit down with no warning. And you definitely want to be able to access it up from anywhere.

@Hencredible

Raul Midon has this song called "Sunshine" that I've loved forever.

Btw, up above you accidently linked the song Brakage rather than Flower Called Nowhere. Have you ever listened to a band called Broadcast also from the UK? Many people that like Stereolab also like them. There's also a group from Sweden called Komeda that's just as innovative as Stereolab, though a bit different in sound.
