The year is 2012, and over 200 years ago, noted American radicals like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson would have been deeply offended by Santorum's comments on the separation of Church and state and would have considered them outdated and regressive... TWO...CENTURIES...AGO


for those of you who missed it, here is what Santorum said:

"I don't believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute. The idea that the church can have no influence or no involvement in the operation of the state is antithetical to the objectives and the vision of our country."

The Christian Conservatives Last Hurrah. They are doing everything they can to hold onto a fading system. It won't work and with every year, there are less and less of them to vote. Change is coming to the Republican Party. Give it a few years. The Right Wing is going to look completely different.
