Drunk eating
I do my best to regulate my drinking when I go out, but even four or five drinks over the course of an evening and my mind starts wandering towards Mcdonald's.

My best solution is keeping massive amounts of sugar-free icepops in the freezer. They are (obviously) freezing cold and take a few seconds to open, both of which prevent me from shoveling my face like a fat fuck. On really bad nights when I'm a half-conscious garbage disposal, I go through 8 or more before I pass out; at 20-40 caloires each, it's still virtually nothing.

On nights when you don't have a naked girl to keep your attention after the bar, what do you do to combat this and not ruin your hard work in the gym?

RE: Drunk eating
This is my worst fucking enemy. There's a great Mexican place that sells delicious greasy food right on the corner of my street. I can usually resist the drunk munchies if I'm not completely fucked up but I've woken up next to a half-eaten burrito the morning after blacking out more times than I'd care to.

I usually make it up by doing extra cardio that day.

Truth spoken.

I'm sure you didn't intend for this thread to devolve into a discussion of drunk munchies, but those goddamn White Castle burgers are calling my name.

RE: Drunk eating
defs do this, on my way back to campus the second to last stop is a mcdonalds, 5 minute walk from my place. nearly impossible not to have people want to go. plus its good for hitting on girls.

I don't know about you guys though, but I feel better if I don't eat right before bed. Its usually other people suggesting the food though.

Try drinking more water sometimes I mistake thirst for hunger and take a multivitamin before you go out and before bed.

RE: Drunk eating
i always try to eat a bunch of food before bed if i been drinking alot. for me it helps me not be hung over the next day, while you are sleeping the food will soak up the alcohol (bro science i dont know if this is medical fact)also i try to drink a big gatorade or water before i crash....

its very hard on the liver to take a pain reducer while your full of alcohol so i avoid that.

The only way I have found to combat this is to avoid beer and wine at all costs.
I don't seem to get drunk munchies on a whiskey bender.

edit: But yeah, drunk munchies are amazing. Many times I have been driven through a McDonalds or Burger King shitfaced and end up buying a triple third-pound Angus swiss and mushroom or two or three triple stackers.

Whats wrong with drunk eating?

When I go out..i dont even have to be drunk.
Theres a little hamburg stand that i always grab about 3-4 burgers from..eat 1-2 on the ride home and then have a snack in the morning.

gotta enjoy life a lil bit, as long as you're not getting trashed on the daily and doing this everytime and your diets near spot on 90% of the time, indulging in a late night burger taco run just keeps ya sane. Shit i got loaded when I was in Thailand, met a girl we went back to the crib and as bad as we wanted to fuck we wanted grease, thank god for delivery mcdonalds in thailand, quick call we got to banging knocked one out as our big macs came to our door, that's livin Smile

RE: Drunk eating
I love drunk eating but I've been better about it these days. It's a good habit to break and it is a habit -- once you get out of the routine, I think the desire fades. It can seriously damage a diet. When you are talking about calorie deficits of a matter of a few hundred calories then you binge for 1500 at 3am.. haha damn.

RE: Drunk eating
I try to keep something on hand that I can eat or look forward to eating.

Eating just before I go out seems to help too. If you hit the town at 11, eat at 930-10 so you're still full enough around 2-3 so you arent looking to get something in your gut.

RE: Drunk eating
i drink ridiculous amounts of water, especially while drinking alcohol. It prevents both the hangovers and the cravings.

also, if you have a tendency to put on the pounds like i do, you really have to make a decision never to eat junk. i will eat crap from time to time, if it's right next to me and i'm especially lazy or in a bad mood, but most days, i just keep a bowl of salad and some cold cuts in the fridge. if im going to binge, at least it's going to be good for me.
