Well, this one (Manu) is not from Rio...she's from Pernambuco.
Adriana Lima isn't carioca either, she's from Bahia. Both states are not even near Rio.

I've been down in Rio before -- dangerous city, but great beaches (Leblon, Ipanema) and great spot for P4P action if you're into that. If you prefer normal girls, you have to speak Portuguese, otherwise forget it.

I get your point but there's a lot of educated girls who speak english. They may not put out instantly but if you stay a while you can get them.

Define normal.

Of course, not many speak English in favelas, but I don't go there.

I would say a very high percentage 75-80% of all girls I met under 30 spoke anywhere between passable English to fluent. I mostly chill in Zona Sul though.

In Zona Sul (ipanema, leblon, barra - copa to some extent), I would say that percentage is probably around 95-100%.

When I went to Buzios, a resort beach town frequented by middle/upper class Brazilians, every single girl I talked to spoke English.

I've been experimenting lately. My English speaking game is leaps and bounds above my Portuguese game, so I try to frame the convo in English as soon as I can.
