I don't think you guys understand the dating culture of China.

Men are expected to pay for the house and the car in China. Women are not expected to contribute financially.

If the girls are 8s, 9s, or 10s, they will ask you to pay cash for the entire house. They don't like mortgage. That's why the men's parents need to have savings if they want their sons to get married. Otherwise, he will not get married at all.

As for the car, their favorite is Audi (don't ask me why). Below is the video where a girl FORCES her boyfriend to buy her a car otherwise you know what would happen.

It would be cool if this were a guarantee of stable and happy life forevermore, though, as in the classic Beta provider-ism of all the human civilization until 20th century. It's only when it's stacked atop other demands (looks, game, etc + uncertainty of outcome) that this becomes a problem.

This stuff is very true. I spent sometime in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The friend who I was living with was married to a Chinese girl, and he would always Rant and how he hated that, he had to buy a house when they got married to have credibility with her family.

On a side note, and I cant figure out the evolutionary basis for it.. but fitter men have a tendency to produce more daughters. Sperm samples of high stamina males, such triathletes, surf iron men, etc, have observed a massive skewing towards producing lesser amounts of Y chromosones, thus more daughters.

According to Sperm Wars "alpha males" produce more sons. 60% of the children of US presidents, vice presidents and CEO's were male or something. Of course they doesn't mean that physically fitter men don't produce more daughters.
