As some of you may already know, I live in Fort McMurray Canada, which is officially Canada's biggest sausage fest. According to newly released data from Canada's 2011 Census, the municipality of wood Buffalo (where Fort Mac is located) has a population that is 54.4% male.

Now, that may not sound like to big of deal, but it is, especially since the city also has the highest percentage of working age people in the country too, most of whom are young men between the ages of 18-35.

I actually just arrived in town on Friday night after a five week stint in a remote work camp, so I was anxious to go out with some friends to party. Its the first time I went to out since my three month stint in Colombia and it left me completely depressed, the amount of fatties in the town is appalling and I actually saw a girl wearing flip flops at a night club, I'm pretty sure she would be shot if she did such a thing in south America.

Since Fort Mac is also the city with the highest disposable incomes in the country, a lot of guys throw money around like drunken sailors. Add this to the fact that young, hot women are considered precious commodities in this town, basically any women has a super inflated sense of self worth. I lived here for a few months last year and managed to find a cute Filipina girl to bang, she's since moved back home.

I don't know how the fuck I'm going to game in this town, I have to come up with some kind of strategy. The competition is fierce but most are Ed Hardy douche bag types, I guess I just have to find a girl who isn't into big truck driving juiced up meat heads and maybe appreciates a guy who is half cultured and well traveled.

Anyway, I'll keep you guys posted on this mission impossible, wish me luck!

Scotian I feel your pain. I lived in San Jose aka Man Jose for six years. Ironically it's this environment that I credit for tightening my game. I'm moving soon but this godforsaken city has taught me some valuable lessons.

Nightlife sucks because anything with a pussy if getting swarmed by thirsty dudes?
Throw on a suit and daygame.

Getting rejected 12 times in one day/night? (yes it happened)
Fuck it, there's a bitch out there that wants some dick.

Find your niche and mine it like hell. In my case it was latina girls who were the first in their family to attend college. You'll do a lot of trial and error. Things will blow compared to a regular city but you'll adapt and overcome.

Yeah I feel your pain, I'm in an area with a low supply of cute women, an abundance of fat, frumpy, average chicks, and tons of thirsty dudes. Basically the bars are typically 60-70% guys, I'm amazed when there's a 50-50 ratio. It sucks with so many thirsty dudes, you got to put in work, and have tight game. What is especially annoying is how girls think their stock is worth more than it is, 6's who act like 8's, just cause they have thirsty dudes to choose from.

Really, I think what it comes down to is either lowering your standards, or putting in serious work and approaching like a madman. I've since been experiencing a bout of approach fatigue, and got kind of over running around in circles trying to pick up chicks. Had a fuck buddy for a couple months, but she's since left town for the summer, now I'm approaching a one month dry spell, and I know it's time to get back out in the trenches. The times when I've done the best in this town, is when I've gone balls to the wall, and approached like crazy, when the odds are stacked against you, you got to out work/game the other guys, and play the numbers game.

Yeah --- I hear ya man...I'm in Calgary. Similar percentage as Fort Mac you gotta understand what the stats do not say. Yeah 54% men so 46% women but after you eliminate the old, the married, the ugly ones then what do you really have left??

It's almost like Plenty of Fish -- some of the women I met from that are bitter from what their last few men were like so they have quite a barrier when you meet them.

Something I learned from a bouncer friend of mine is that bouncers love it when dudes bring in girls or a bunch of girls come in...because if it is a cock-fest then if guys can not fuck --- they'll fight! Or in the case of Ft. Mac -- maybe do drugs to numb the pain and lonliness.

Another thing I noticed is that if there is a hottie at say some house party non bar environment --- there is two or more guys trying to simultaneously talk to her at once!

Damn, that's a bad dilemma scotian. I honestly don't even know how I would approach that problem. There has to be different types of bars and clubs though. You have to think outside of the box. Can you go hunting during the day on your days off?

On the other hand, these guys look like a bootleg version of Paul Wall and probably all act the exact same with girls. They would be like a fish out of water if they didn't have oil money to throw around. You should kill it if you're one of the few that's different from these sheep once you find your fishbowl....

You're in an environment where the odds are brutally stacked against you. If I were there, I'd dedicate my free time, money, etc on making moves to take me out of a "work camp" environment. Most of the women in those towns are basically camp followers and won't be interested in players. The town does have some P4P action. Prices are high, but hookers can take the edge off. And you never know, you might find one who likes fucking you and she'll hook you up. It does happen. But I wouldn't invest much of myself in the local women.

I think that 50-50 ratio depends when the reporter entered the bar. For example: If you went into a typical Canadian strip joint at 3PM in the afternoon you might actually find a 50-50 ratio because the female staff are gearing up for the rush later and the strippers are just sitting around socializing with each other.

I remember a long time ago I decided to play the "numbers game" and just approached and went direct. The problem is that after 2 months annd maybe around 60 sets in total --- I met every night club girl in my small city! It seemed that after a certain time --- I was meeting Hbs that I already failed with, or meeting the same planin Janes and same cock blockers etc. In something like the size of Fort Mac...I bet it won't take long to meet every group of girls.

I just commented on my "game against odds". I'm posted up out here in Kuwait. Probably 10/1 or worst. The worst thing about it is almost all the women know their worth because they have been in the military for so long. Women pick what they want. You thrown out the married, old, and fraternization and your left with shit. My unit is an ESC which is high level. Half of the 200+ are officers and the rest have much rank. Our rooms are two man rooms and we are the lucky ones. Most live in tents with 20 other soldiers. Needless to say, to get a notch is tough. I've had a few throw it at me but I wasn't interested.

I hopefully will have another year out here so my goal is to do 5 approaches a week. Modest but a huge step up to none the last 10 months. The young soldiers are usually the easiest ones. We will see what's up but Scotian I feel your pain. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger haha.

I feel for you. I really do, I was in the same situation some time ago, I was stuck working in southwest Oregon, on the coast, in a metro area of about 45,000 inhabitants, living there for about 6 months, lots and lots of loser guys from all over the state living there, primarily due to the work of logging, I had nothing to do with that, meth was hugh there, many girls hung up on the stuff; as a result, many young girls had many teeth missing, scars on their face, in essence they looked like shit. What did I do? I lowed my standards and dated a few fat secretaries I worked with, that's all i could do, I banged fatties for a few months, no big deal. At that time I promised myself that someday I'll live in a pussy rich envornment, which is why I live where I do now.

My advise to you is, if you're young, dont blow your youth and live in a sausage infected area, do whatever you need to do to get the fuck out of that place and live in a city where there are plenty of high quality girls. If you dont, i can assure you that 10 years from now, you'll regret it.

Thanks for the encouraging words guys, it'll be an uphill battle for sure, but not impossible. The only really good thing about this situation is that I'm only ever here temporarily, for about 2-4 months, I figure I'll be here until October and by that time, I'll have enough coin saved up to spend the winter in a much more game friendly location.

I think it clearly stated in that link that it is true in Calgary. It is where I live. Now the crappy thing in Calgary is that even though it is 5% more men than women --- the women left over are just ugly and or old.

I don't pay much attention the odds since I've managed to pull some good women in the past where the numbers are even worse (think like 90% men 10% women).

As matter of fact I went to some "singles" social events and they have more women than men but these women are a no-go! This is the greater problem!

I lived on Fort Knox in Kentucky for 2 years, surrounded by another 40,000 Soldiers just like myself. I banged 3 out of the 4 "hotties" that worked on base. THREE out of 4. That's gawdamn ridiculous. Plus however many girls I banged from Louisville and the surrounding cities.

This is how the majority of guys up there get their bangs. Agencies would pipelines then have a rotation of bitches rolling through the town. They charge premium up there a nice blonde whom is a *Escort - 9* can charge these kats like 350 for just 30-45 min.

@ Scotion you for sure have to think outside the box. The thing with economic beacons aside from NYC or DC are going to attract more Males then females. Dudes chase opportunity .... women don't.

But a group of women do chase opportunity and usually these are immigrants. This might be your niche to carve out. In Fort Mac run hospital and church game to try and catch new girls in town off work and outside of the bar. A lot of girls now if they are not stripping in Fort Mac see other jobs in Fort Mac as a boon also to rake in cash, maybe teachers in the schools also are fair game.

If your on the one or two week of type schedule then hop in your truck... speed down to Leduc and take a flight ANYWHERE. Even to a spot like Prince George, BC; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; hell even the Yukon is better than Fort Mac. ANYWHERE at all you get get a nice relaxed vacation in for a few days to game and re-charge.

My homies would just drive back home during their long breaks no point staying in the hell hole. You just end up burning through cash there's nothing else to do thier but eat, drink, strippers, and smoke or do blow.

Yukon is slept on though. I used to know two broads from there and all we're fine and sorta well rounded, new hot to cook and clean.
