Was talking with a Russian girl last night at a house party. I said something along the lines "you don't sound like your from these parts". I can't remember exactly what happened in between (way too much Tequila) but she said to me:

"Of course I'm Russian, I'm actually wearing a dress and looking nice!"

I just burst out laughing. That pretty much killed it for my chances. Bad game on my part, I know.

Not sure why that killed your chances - I would have been really into her at that point. You should have said something like, "Damn, can you give some fashion lessons to the chicks around here?"

The laugh came off as weird and creepy since it makes no sense unless you read Roosh. Though your line would have almost certainly saved me.

Next house party I go to I'm not drinking my own Margaritas. Lesson learned.

I'm still not convinced why that killed your chances. If she can relate to it(most likely without ever having read Roosh), why not you?

I think rather it gave you a good common ground to build up upon, and you could have jointly mocked DC women with her and formed a connection.

Also agree that I don't see how laughing alone killed your chances unless you decided it did and you basically gave up then.

if you're thinking it's not attractive to laugh, you're wrong. it's specifically unattractive to laugh when they aren't funny, but here she was pretty funny, and you should have used this to set the mood and had some fun.

Where do the Russian girls in DC hang? I figure when I move back that speaking Russian in DC is a bigger DHV then speaking it in Russia...though unfortunately the pickings are worse.
