Ofcoarse we all are here to bang girls.(and in some cases guys)
But, with almost anything, there is always a life altering inherent risk. The two major factors here are A.I.D.S and K.I.D.S.
For the latter we have both male and female birth control. But for the Monster... Aids we have only.. the wrap up. Now, I dont know about you guys but the satisfaction is so much more when i get a flag, without a layer of rubber in between.(not that I advise it)

So... check out this article. I havent even seen much publicity about it....
which I thought was really interesting as well. You think the world would celebrate a vaccine for Aids.. or something that protects you at a rate of 96-97%. But I just thought Id share. Its very relevant to us...deep diving, safari hunting, mountain climbing PUA types.

That's not a vaccine. It's just the same old anti-viral pill that's been in use for to treat hiv for many years. And that only lowers your risk of infection somewhat.

It's about 5 years away until the real aids vaccines that are in trials now might be approved. Some look very promising.

That's what they say about a cure for hair loss too. In 5 years. I used to be on a hairloss forum in Holland back in the early 2000's where they made that claim every year. It's now 2012 and there's still no cure.

I hear you. But it's apples and oranges. Hairloss research is often vaporware, where the business plan is to get investment money, not to actually market a product. Like that Moler flying car.

The HIV research is funded by research grants that are only renewed if the research warrants it. It has more oversight. Some of the research is in phase 2 human clinical trials already. We're not talking about mice or monkeys.

It's quite fascinating the new technologies that are being explored. Frightening too, if you really look into their implications. We are now playing around with altering your genetic makeup permanently from one injection, or having microbes live inside you to produce antibodies and other biological agents. A mad scientist could alter the microbial makeup of our intestines such that we have to purchase his coca-cola2 in order to stay alive, or create a virus that targets for blacks and turns them all into super genius nerds.

The future happened a long time ago.

I have the feeling that the government could fund research for a cure now, but they don't want to because STD's are a form of population control.

I have the feeling that the government could fund research for a cure now, but they don't want to because STD's are a form of population control.

They are funding it. So are the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. It's big money.

You might expect corruption to stop such research, but it doesn't seem to be. Plenty of money is being well spent.

Same here, AIDS never scared me. Herpes scares me. Knowing you can have a disgusting looking dick for the rest of your life scares me a lot.

The cure for AIDS was probably developed at the same time AIDS it self was created.

As these diseases are created, it would make sense to create the cures as well. The same people who developed the HIV have the cure.

The money is not it the cure, but in the treatment. So, the cure will never be released. - only meds to treat symptoms or control it. - besides its a great tool for genocide and population control.

Because it's impossible to make money in more than one way, and our economy is not based upon a competition of interests. It's all 100% a monopoly owned by one gigantic corporation.

Look, this isn't a matter of opinion. If you want to talk about the real world, the data about these issues is public knowledge. You can find out what the NIH national institute of health grants are, who they are going to, you can look up the bio-tech companies prospectus which will show you their income and expenditures, you can see where Bill and Melinda Gates money is going, you can see how these drug and bio-technologies are making their way through clinical trials.

Brilliant minds are well organized and well funded on this issue. It's a huge global enterprise, involving big companies like Merck all the way down to mom and pop bio-tech start ups. Anyone can put their hand out to get a piece of the pie if their research is sound. Some universities have outstanding research departments with some of the world top medical minds doing incredible work. The drug and bio-tech companies don't even have to go to their investors for funding this research - the grant money is seemingly bottomless, if the work is good. Millions and millions and millions.

It's not like the world is made up of our opinions. Its real and measurable, and can be communicated through facts.

Luckily the HIV virus has a weak spot that does not mutate. It's being targetted in the most promising vaccine. A few companies are working on that with different approaches, but the most promising work uses a vaccine that makes virus in your muscle produce antibodies that target this portion of the hiv virus that doesn't mutate.

The pool of bio-technology knowledge is growing rapidly. This is both good and frightening.
