On the brink of accepting an offer with my company to relocate to Russia, to a city approx 2 hour via rail from Moscow, population approx 350,000.

Just trying to ascertain who well I will do on the lady front....my game is not so strong, however, I do have some good attributes (196cm / 95kgs - athletic), and mid level Russian language skills, which will fastly improve toward fluency.

Any thoughts on how well or otherwise I may do / how I should approach, bearing in mind I will be perm' living out there!

Sportbilly,if you are going to move there long term,work there,speak decent Russian you'd have to be some kind of retard not to bang women there. Trust me,you will do fine. Gaming in Russia does not really come down to 'having game' in the same way it does in the West. Your apartment,career and not being permanently pissed on brake fluid will be your game.

Take the job dude,it will be a hell of an experience,something to remember all your life. Also your apartment can be the RVF'ers Russian club house!

You can also pipeline there as well using mamba which is quite common and normal in Russia. You will have a blast there.

What city will you be based in? Its ok if you dont want to reveal it here.

Billy, how did you acquire your mid level russian skills and how long did it take? Im thinking of starting to study russian next month and heading over there in the spring. I think Russia has to be done at least once in your life and Im taking the plunge just like you. How old are you by the way if I may ask.

@ Partizan will inform city later, when all signed and sealed. @ Chochemonger..mid-level Russian skills has taken about 3 years..but that is all self taught...books / CD's etc...would be far quicker with actual lessons / tuition. @ Billy Music to my ears

Agreed with previous posters, if you have a good job, bathe at least 1x/week, speak some Russian and aren't an alcoholic or obese you will do fine.

Just don't fall in love with the first (or two) that you bag.

agree with all the above posters. having a good job is really all you need. One of my ex co-workers lives out there and he has more options that i could ever imagine. He was close to fluent in Russian but it didn't matter. If girls there can tell you have money, you'll be swimming in it.

Like I say it will be at least a month before I will know, however, my current company are advertising to fill my post...which is a good sign. I won't be Deripasko or Abramovich but compared to your "average" Russian I will be seen as "wealthy" (note - not wealthy..but you know what I mean!)..........
