I've been working on my game and social skills over the past year and only just realizing some pretty crucial aspects that I don't think have been highlighted enough in the game blogs and forums.

Vulnerability is a huge one. Without showing any vulnerability nobody will be able to connect with you, especially girls. At best you come off as intimidating, at worst you come off as an arrogant prick. This was hard for me at first because I am an egotistical dude by nature, so I had to learn to make fun of myself and be playful about it at the same time. As a good friend once told me, we don't connect in our coolness, but in our brokenness. It's all just part of being authentic.

Another thing is Kino. I am pretty standoffish by nature so this one didn't come very natural to me. We all know how important touching the girl is to escalation. I found that it comes a lot more easily when I'm talking with my hands and touching myself, then casually touch her to to make points. Or tease her, or whatever.

So if anyone else has broken through sticking points and has advice for up and coming players who could be in the same shtick, we could all post them here and break it down to the crumbs for each other.
