Poll: How do you see yourself valuing your time?
I live for myself and myself alone, follow my passions completely, and abandon all civility for the cause
I constantly get lackadasical living an ordered routine life, but I do so anyway. I use every chance I get to enjoy life, though.
I work hard in my field, pursuing excellence. I dream about faraway places and adventures, but in retrospect I seem to lose interest going there.
I listen to family and friends closely. I go out of my way to help and do things for them. Even when I'm not interested. I never stray far from people's expectations.
I don't really get a chance to think much. I'm so buckled down with life.

Valuing Your Time
See the attached poll. I'm curious how you guys approach it. PS I purposely tried to make it hard, so that if everyone answers honestly, It will collectively open up a greater dialog.

I'll be honest, I have few goals and probably do not value my time enough. My main goals are : getting done with school, getting swole, having fun, and hopefully getting laid on the side. Probably don't work hard enough at any of these goals but still try.

Ha, my sentiments exactly. I guess that makes me a no. 2?

RE: Valuing Your Time
I'm a mix and variation of some of those options.

Here's how I'd answer:

I live for myself and myself alone, and follow my passions completely. I work hard in my field, pursuing excellence. I use every chance I get to enjoy life. I never listen to family and friends closely. I don't go out of my way to help and do things for them. Especially when I'm not interested. I typically and regularly stray far from people's expectations.

RE: Valuing Your Time
What is the most important thing in the world?

Answer: Your time!

My time is my life. I value my time as much as I value my life.

RE: Valuing Your Time
I don't see what any of those questions have to do with valuing your own time.

A reflection of how you value your time is how much time you are willing to spend to save x amount of money.

I.E. How much time will I spend on the internet researching how I can get an item for $2 cheaper.

or

I will go to x restaurant over y restaurant to get my favorite dish because it costs $4 less there, even though it's 15 minutes farther away.

or

Instead of paying $100 for a new toilet for my tenant, I will go there 5 times to band-aid the problem.

I think that my motivation to make positive life changes will go up a lot when I run a bit lower on cash. I find that I get a lot of shit done when I'm looking to increase cash flow.

Speaking of hustle, would kind of like to make a strength/lifting post for the return of kings to get some sweet blog views but my "lifting game" probably isn't advanced enough yet. That's OK, I think in two years I'll have enough gains not to be an authority but have more clout or whatever. Not like Hodge Twins level but somewhere.

RE: Valuing Your Time
I went with 3, but it's not quite right. I just feel that the vast majority of my time should be spent either building my skills or profiting from their use. Good in that I have lots of achievements that I'm legitimately proud of, bad in that I don't really know how to have "fun" (I generally come away from parties etc thinking "well, THAT was pretty dull; I'd rather have been doing X")
