I hate interview style dates. They're the worst. It's much better when you ask more probing questions that elicit more creative and open-ended answers.

ie. Do you like what you're studying?


vs


If you could wake up anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would it be?

I like to do lists of three.

For example.

"What are your three favorite foods?"
then
Now if you had to eat one of those every day for the rest of your life, never eat one again, and be able to make the best of in the world, which would they be?

or

But you can take any question and probe it to elicit values or to build a connection, so it really doesnt matter what it is.

My personal favorites are
Pets/Animals (good to elicit various traits the chick finds attractive/intersting)
Travel (everyone has a travel story they love to share, and is also your chance to display high value)
Dream XXXXX from vacation to sexual.

But its best not to have canned material. The conversation should be flowing, based off the topics at hand that you can easily segue into finding out more about her.
