RE: Venezuela could open up shortly?
Just been in venezuela and I`m going back soon, even thou I wouldnt recomend anybody to travel to Venezuela I`d say it`s not that bad for a tourist ( yes it`s dangerous but with good spanish skills, being social smart and having some venezuelans around you can handle it)

My impression is that it really depends of the city, been to Lecheria and Margaritas and these places are pretty safe, Lecheria is what venezuelans call the venezuelan version of miami, with beach, canals tall buildings never ben to Miami but I`D rather say its a a venezuelan version of Poblado, party everyday, fancy expensive cars everywhere, hot women, walked down the street at night and back to my hotel in the morning drunk and talking on the phone with zero issue ,never felt insecured. My venezuelan friends adviced me that Lecheria is different than other venezuelans cities ( especially Caracas).

My only isue in Venezuela was in Maracaibo when police officers tried their very best to get some money from me, 1st they mentioned that my passport was fake, 2nd they mentioned I was registered was somebody older and a venezuelan citizen after 4 hours driving me around the city going to imigration, checking me up on interpol and stuff they gave and said `` el chamo es duro de matar`` literally meaning `` this guy is too hard to kill`` or it`s hard to get something from me.

I was never desrespectfull or rude nether were them, when they mentioned my passport was fake I mentioned they could call my embassy when they said they were gonna deport me I said I was gonna call my ambassy anyways so they could provide an imigration lawyer, I was calm all the time but always defending my myself at the end the drove to the bus terminal again and on the way we were laughing and making jokes about the situation, they drove me back and got absolutely nothing from me

Even thou criminality is a reallity for me my biggest pet peeve in Venezuela was getting basic necesities as a tourist ( getting bills to pay a cab driver, getting hotel rooms with wifi, blackouts, no water in my hotel for 2 days, getting flights from one city to another is something hard, not being able to use normal platforms as skyscanner, bookings for booking or knowing hotel rooms and flights, being robbed almost 30 percent every time I exchange money) and getting soap was another pain in the ass

Overall I`d say its a pussy paradise, beautiful country, nice people, much coole girls than colombians, much better food then in Colombia, much better nightclubs then in Colombia and its ridicoulous cheap ( even compared to Colombia, its like 4 times cheaper then Colombia) but no way I`d take a flight all the from Europe or the US to go to Venezuela I only accidently went to Venezuela meanwhile I was in Colombia and used it as a gateway for going to Brazil and coming back to Colombia

And surprise surprise, there lot of tourists in the Venezuelan coast, brazilians, argentineans and colombians also many foreigns

I`m not saying that Venezuela is paradise or I`m trying supporting its actual government I just think many guys here write things without never travelling or trying things for themselves

RE: Venezuela could open up shortly?
Personally when I visited Peru and Colombia I felt they were both dangerous enough. I cannot even imagine what Venezuela would be like and I don't want to find out quite frankly. Sure there might be some parts of the country that are safe, but I like to be able to explore a country not just go to one or two small islands and then leave. No amount of top notch pussy is worth getting stabbed over. Besides these days there are plenty of Venezuelan girls in Colombia.

RE: Venezuela could open up shortly?
Maduro just won the election, there is talks of shit going down do you think Venezuela will finally start to get better and would now be a good time to go there? I was also wondering would black guys be less at risk of getting robbed/kidnapped? I think a lot of people in SA and Venezuela correlate white people with wealth so possibly I wouldn't be at big of a risk?

Also I feel like Venezuela is a very untouched country by foreigners mostly cause of all the violence and people steer clear of it. In my eyes Venezuela and Iran are probably the two untouched countries with the best looking women. At this time and the state of the country how are the Venezuelan girls? Do they have high bitch shields or are they open to being gamed. People often say Venezuela has the best looking girls in SA and even the world so I'm definitely interested in going there, in addition to how cheap it is it will definitely be worth it. Main problem is the violence but maybe I can get around that.

Normally I would insert a 50-Cent-driving-away .gif here, but if you're black, and preferably dress down and not in nice clothes, this could work out. Would still need to watch yourself like you're in Chiraq x 10, of course.

Life insurance might be good too.

But hey, LatinoViking or whoever managed to get through it fine, though I think he mostly avoided Caracas.

Things are bad right now in Venezuela, and as the regime is getting pooorer and the people more starved, things are growing worse. Lots of venezuelans escaping the country, mostly to other south-american countries or the USA.

Probably, but in the moment someone heard you talking usa english, you are a kidnapping target. Heck, even by beign a foreign you are a prime target. Criminality is off the charts right now in the country.

Yes, Venezuela have very pretty girls, but far from the "best looking girls in SA and even the world". Venezuela have a history of beign a rich country, so you are dealing with people that are in a bad momnet, not coming out of a brutal regime like the iraqui. You will need a little game, and not show your "americanism", even if you are black.

Also, something that already said in other threads, prepare yourself to suffer a little of sutile discrimination. Black people are still asociate with low class in SA, and while the liberals and lefties try their best, its a idiosyncrasy that will take decades to change, if posible.

"What is important is to try to develop insights and wisdom rather than mere knowledge, respect someone's character rather than his learning, and nurture men of character rather than mere talents." - Inazo Nitobe

When i´m feeling blue, when i just need something to shock me up, i look at this thread and everything get better!

If it wasn't clear, I was being facetious above.

I know some guys here are tempted by the forbidden fruit and cheap prices of Venezuela, but don't do it. Just because one guy here did it doesn't mean we all can. If you get taken or messed up it could be over, and it won't have been worth it.

RE: Venezuela could open up shortly?
I have traveled to Venezuela numerous times from Colombia over the past 6 years....the last being in 2016, when I was just thankful to get on my flight and get the hell outta of there.....if you wanna eat crap food, deal with army and police checkpoints and bribes, and being on your toes 24/7....go for it.

Trust me....it's not worth it.....on every level.....I get going for the adventure but Colombia, Brazil and a handful of other Latin American countries I would rate way higher....

If it's solely for the women....(yes there will be women there)....just know the the best looking and most intelligent women are long gone out of Venezuela....hell even the poorest of the poor have been flooding into Colombia the past 3 years.....3 words....NOT WORTH IT!

Wanted to just reiterate that things are going to continue getting WORSE now that Maduro "won" this re-election. There's really no hope in sight for the country right now to turn things around. This guy will run the country to the ground as long as he can hold on to power and enrich himself and the people loyal to him.

The only thing that will help a bit is the continued rise in oil prices. Even then, they're so screwed financially that they need the increased revenue to pay off bonds and buy things to keep the oil industry going there. (It's already down to ridiculously low outputs now)

While I've been to neither, I know the political climate and Brazil seems way safer than VZ especially with Bolsonaro in charge. Plus the cops in Brazil are usually well trained from what Roosh has said

Before you guys get too excited over visiting Venezuela and looking at properties, it's probably best to wait until Venezualan émigrés have returned and settled, this would likely take a couple of years once the Maduro government is gone, which may not happen. Things are so fucked up there now that I doubt it would be a good trip and more than likely it would be a nightmare, particularly for those who don't speak Spanish and lack experience in Latin America. If you want to bang Venezuelan chicas (I highly recommend this) then just go to Colombia, you'll have no problem finding them there and you will actually have a nice trip.

God damned them all, I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold, we'd fire no guns-shed no tears, now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier, the last of Barrett's privateers!

Venezuela is gonna be be gone, and even then Giado isn't a capitalist he's a softer socialist. The recovery will be slow plus the longer Maduro is in power (They're now killing zoo animals for food from what I heard) the more likely the Lima Group will intervene. If you want a VZ woman, go to a neighboring country.

My guess is any girl there that has half a brain looks good enough to assume the danger of traveling to Venezuela for is already gone. Probably was gone long ago unless in a uniquely bad and complicated family situation.

1. I'm pretty sure they're already resorting to cannibalism it's just not reported yet

2. Trump is busy and smart enough that he will not engage in VZ directly (ie boots on the ground), though we have tried to give them food relief and probably arms Trump has an ego but he isn't blind to the fact that Obama was a reviled wartime president. However as I said again, one doesn't need to visit VZ to realize it's not gonna open up nor recover quickly

3. Colombia's amazing and surprisingly safe now that the cartels are controlled, that or Argentina since it's cheaper (though if you want a darker woman, Colombia's the better bet)

Cue autism, as if Venezuela was difficult now. You just show up with toilet paper or tampons and you get laid.

This reminds me of Americans that visit Cuba. Thinking they're cutting edge. In reality, the Canadians have been visiting Cuba for years, but the difference is they don't fly through the US~

You can very easily get smoked as a property owner in Venezuela. If you aren't there full time or are subletting it out, the neighbors or even your tenant can rat you out and the government can easily reappropriate it since you clearly don't "need" it by their commy standards.

The investment upside isn't very enticing if you have to risk your life (and at the very least quality of life) trying to keep your long shot investment from getting seized for years to come.

Correct. You want to wait until a new democratic President is installed into office and a return of the rule-of-law. If you are a wealthy expat Venezuelan coming back to the country, then you could come back sooner (after a new democratic President is installed). In that case, I would buy a bunch of options on various properties -- and later analyze your portfolio of options and buy only the best properties in prime locations. I imagine that loads of distressed sellers would sell options for a known sales price in exchange for short-term cash. But you need a return of the rule-of-law first.
