I liked his song "Too Hot".

You mean "Uptown Funk"?

My only problem with Mars is he's not really bringing anything new to the table. All his hits sound like they were made by someone else decades earlier. Song in the OP he's channeling The Police, Uptown Funk sounds like a The Time song and his newest song sounds like Bad era Michael Jackson.

Bruno Mars has been a performer his entire life. I saw him in Waikiki when he was Little Elvis.

He is a Hawaiian. Interestingly, and I can't find anything on the internet about this, there are a number of people named Soetoro on his mothers side. As in Barry Soetoro.

Its a conspiracy theory.

Sometimes you have to reach back to create something new. How blatantly, that's up to the individual...

By the way, if one should ever hear the phrase "sounds like a hit" in a studio, it doesn't mean that song's a hit. It means it sounds like some other hit.
