Blazers/Suit jackets?
My local Marshall's seems to have a ton of Blazers/Suit jackets on sale and since that's an area of my wardrobe I've been meaning to address this seems like a perfect time to ask RVF's advice on styles to get and how to put it all together.

I have some nice slacks, dress shoes and belts. No vest's yet which I think could be a good look for me.

I'm looking at wearing this getup at upscale lounges and Casino's.

1. Fit is most important. It's hard to find a perfect fit at marshall's so be sure you include alterations in your budget.

2. If you don't naturally "get" style, find a stylish or at least a fashionable girl to help you pick out jackets.

3. A jacket with non-matching slacks looks old manish. Stick to suits or a jacket with nice jeans if you can pull that off.

I've got the dick so I make the rules.

PresC- yeah I saw that link yesterday and it seems to focus more on jean/blazer combo whereas I'm looking for a more upscale/refined look.

Borrach- some good suggestions, I think I'm looking at a more Cole Haan loafers/slacks/jacket look. Idk if I can do the jeans/jacket look, never tried though.

Rude- I don't think G will be picking these up but it's the normal thing you would see at Marshall's; Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, etc.

I took some pictures with my iPhone but the images are too big to upload.

One of them is swede, bad look? I can see girls diggin the feel and being hands on... (More of a look for jeans?)

Upscale? Refined? Look no further than a fashionable ascot. Here's how to wear one:

Seriously though, there are some CHEAP options depending on your build. If you're thin, you can get a Banana Republic Jacket for about $200 on sale that will have that tailored European look vs. the potentially boxy Marshall's style (no idea what looks they carry just saying).

Gotta say you got me at first with the ascot, haha, was gonna say I wasn't a twat.

I really like that guys suit, I could definitely make that work. Maybe I shouldn't have been buying slacks separate and I'd be better off buying everything together. Thanks to this forum I'm in the beginning stages of trying to improve my wardrobe while trying to stretch those dollars.... Tough to decide how and where to spend the dough.

I'm trying to piece together my style and what I like. That guy's suit seems like it would be hard to mix and match with other slacks/blazers??? His suit is Banana Republic? No reason why you couldn't rock that suit at a wedding right?
