Possibly the wildest place to be right now...
Guys,
right now, the wildest place to be in North America is Montreal. With the amazing run of the Montreal Canadiens in the Stanley Cup finals, the city is exploding right now with insane parties. People going wild in the streets of Montreal. Montreal is usually a great place to be in the summer when the weather gets better but now that the team has a strong possibility of going all the way to bring the cup back home, it will be insane. What does that mean to us guys? It means that the girls will be wilder, funner and more in party mood. Montreal girls are notoriously famous for being very open minded and forward with their intention unlike the rest of the girls in NA, throw in the euphory brought by the Canadiens and it's insane. If you can make it to Montreal now is the best time to be there. If you can afford it, go watch a Habs game in the finals, I realize tickets will be expensive like hell but worth it. If you can't or don't want to shell big bucks, just going to any of the bars in downtown Montreal on Ste-Catherines watching the games will be fun too. When Montreal plays away games, go to the Centre Bell and watch the game there with 20K Canadien fans. In short, wild parties, beautiful, sexy and fun girls and an overall all around awesome time.

I'll do my best to get there as well in the next few days. Anyone else going to Montreal in the next few days/couple of weeks or so?

GO HABS GO!!!!Banana

P.S. I'm not a Hockey fan at all, but I enjoy from time to time watching the play offs specially the Canadiens.

Is this where your from? I have an acquaintance who moved there and hasnt looked back. He loves it...says its 'like having your little toe in Europe'. I was there for a weekend once, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It felt a little more punk rock / blade-runner-ish then cities you find anywhere the states. Of course, I didnt have time to see a lot.

No, I'm not in Montreal, I'm in the city with the worst hockey team in the NHL aka Toronto. Big Grin
Montreal is an awesome place. IMHO, it's the best party town in all of NA. Agreed with you about the rock/punk vibe that Montreal can transmit at times, specially among the local Quebecois and "whites". However, the city is filled with people from all over the world. In June/July, during the World Cup, Montreal will be a BLAST too. I'm really toying with the idea of spending the whole month of June in Montreal before flying to Brasil in July for the World Cup's 1/2 final and final and hoping to see Brasil win the Cup, which would be the most insane and wildest party you could imagine.

Vacancier,

That's already a lot of opportunities to party, and you didn't even mention the Grand Prix! This will draw huge crowds (and parties) next month.

I'm one of the biggest Montreal fans out there (of the city, not the team), and I agree with everything you've said. I'd live there in a heartbeat if it weren't for the awful winters (though Chicago's not much better). Even with the winters I'd still probably live there. It's that great.

The sad part is, I can't help but notice how flights seem to have gone up dramatically. Two years ago I flew there for Labour Day weekend for $400 round-trip (from Chicago). Looking at the same weekend this year, and quite a bit in advance, I'm seeing non-stop flights are over $600. What the hell? $600+ for a 2-hour flight?? That's insulting. And the 1-stops aren't much cheaper. I've flown to Spain for less than $500! Anyway, I'm pissed, but I'll still be coughing up that dough at some point. MTL is worth every penny.

I dont know why, but I have a premonition that its gonna be a fckin wild summer. It started way earlier than usual, thats a sign im sure.

Hit me up by PM for some filles du roy hunting.

@VP, were you there at the 7th game? hehe

@zanetti , the strips on the main street (sainte-catherine) are ok, I went to a few but always ended up gaming the barmaid instead. Even got a reverse bootycall when she called me at 4AM. But my sleep is priceless.

Yeah South Africa will be wild, but if you want the wildest place on earth will be in Brasil during the World Cup, specially if Brasil has a good run. And if they win the Cup which everybody expects them as always, then the place will be exploding like nothing else you've seen. 10 times wilder than during even the almighty Carnaval. LOL that says it all.

Lilseezie,
I totally feel you about the ridiculous hike in airfare to pretty much anywhere these days. Guess it has to do with the high price of oil.

L'etranger,
No I wasn't there for the 7th game but I watched on tv in here and saw how wild it was. Wish I was there. I'll be there for the finals tough. Smile
Hey, whats these filles du roy? Care to tell me/us more about that? I'm intrigued.

back when North America was just a small colony, the lumberjacks were feeling very lonely. So the king of France handpicked nice ladies to come raise a family here. How do you populate an entire continent? Estrogen filled sluts anyone?
