So I exchanged the previous blazer, and I found this one by coincidence at the same price. It feels a much better fit.. what do you guys think?

Also, the third picture shows my collar popped, as the blazer has a design on the collar. Does it matter if I leave the collar popped out or folded in?

I am just looking for feedback on the overall fit.. around the shoulders, the torso, the armhole height.. Also, would I need to tailor the wrists? It seems like a good height.

Don't pop the collar, Stick a Pocket Square in and you are set .

I think between the two, I liked the other one better minus the sleeve length. Not trying to confuse you this is good too as well. Don't worry about minor details, wear it it's tailor made for you. Put a pocket square in and get out there and remember there is no such thing as an Arm chair lothario.........

looks good. dont wear long-tail dress shirts untucked w/it tho. You would then have a tail sticking out the bottom (in front and back). I remember you saying you liked V-necks. Rock this w/v-necks....

Pocket square might be a little too much for a younger kid. Try it out tho.

Level your mind at the negative attention from dudes your age. Theres going to be tons, trust me.

Try this combo- blazer, light blue v-neck, dark dress shoes and tan colored slacks (slim fit, because regular fit is made for 250 lb executives)- hat tip G-manifesto. Its upper body casual enough to swing, but girls always dig dress-shoes (instead of sneakers).

lads i love this forum so much it has transformed the way i dress for the better. usually for me on a night out its black shoes blue jeans and a cheque shirt and this is the style for a lot of people in rural Ireland.. deffo gonna splash out and dress like this. whats dress-shoes?:o

I don't like the button placement, those seem awfully high up, especially for a 2-button piece.

That being said, congrats to you for wanting to step your fashion game up.

Not to thread jack, but I tried on a Canali sport jacket yesterday at Nordstrom. Felt absolutely amazing; light and has a great fit. However was disappointed with the arm holes, which I ft were a little too big. Better to get made to measure at that price.

This is a "high-two" which I have mentioned on here before. I have one jacket like this.

On a "high-two" you should actually button both buttons. Counter intuitive I know.

And yeah, don't ever "pop" the collar.

G do you have a post anywhere about high end suits and blazers (i.e. Canali, Brioni, Zegna, Prada, etc.) vs. getting it MTM (not talking about real bespoke)? If I can get a blazer/sport jacket MTM for say $600-700, is that, in your experience/opinion better than getting one of the aforementioned brands + a little tailoring on sleeves/waist? By better I mean will it look just as sharp and feel just as good.

To be honest, I've tried on some tops a Norstrom, Macy's, ect. and found the fit to better than what I have custom built. Some of those companies really have their pattern down. I don't see paying $5K instead of $500 for something that is only 5% better fitting.

That's cheaper than I thought, but still out of my range. It would look boss with the right jeans. WFT is up with the short sleeves though? They should come down to his wrists. It shows too much shirt cuff.

Totally depends on your body type and the brand and cut.

Some guys can throw on a Prada off the rack and it will fit them like a Custom Suit.

It's kind of funny. I been wearing my blazer a lot lately, it seems like older guys stare way harder than girls.

As far as guys my own age, no one really says anything. My friends that have seen it think it looks cool.

One of my friends said I look like a fag and asked me why I was wearing it.

He's from west Texas, what does he know?

Here guys. I was wondering more about the button placement. I took the following pictures, each with me wearing it with buttons undone, top button done, both buttons done, and bottom button done.

What do you guys think works best? I like the undone and only top button options, but I am new to wearing blazers so I want to make sure I wear them well, some different opinions would be great!

I'm not a fan of the high buttons, but that's a bit nitpicky of me.

Proper way would be to have the bottom button undone, even if it's a three button coat , you leave the bottom button undone. 2nd pic from top is Right.

Haha I know huh. I went out 3 nights last week, and missed out on Saturday. My next night out will be Wednesday. Until then just catching up on stuff, but yeah I can't wait to rock this.

Haha, yeah man, I didn't ignore your feedback. I won't be popping the collar, and I am considering tailoring the wrists. I actually posted these pictures because I wasn't sure. Futhermore.. based on what you said, would you think this blazer works better with both buttons done or just top button? I am leaning towards top button because I feel it doesn't restrain me as much, but still open to the thought of wearing it differently.

LA has a fashion district in downtown.

I picked up Canali slacks for 200 dollars. Its what I call Italian clothes fabric made in China...or very very nice frauds.

The wool is great (i believe super 120s), has a nice rayon lining and decent fit. I couldn't tell the difference between these and the ones I tried on in Italy.

One last question guys. I've decided I am going to keep the blazer.

I now have to decide whether I am going to tailor it or not. I know its been said that it could be tailored a bit on the wrists, but is this an acceptable length already? Reason I ask is because if I tailor the wrist I will lose the detail it has at the end.

Also.. It's not too tight around the torso with just the top button done right? You could see it pull a bit, but is this bit acceptable?
