An unhealthy relationship with their mother I'd say. Naturals generally have some experiences in their early life when they witness their mother not as this perfect omnipotent entity but rather as a human with flaws, sexuality and all. They've seen women at their worst (like Heartiste puts it) very early on in life. Something most betas never do, ever.

It's the unconscious desire to return to the infant state.

When we are infants, our mothers actively seek to find out and satisfy our needs... food... diapers... etc.

That is like an Eden. Your desires all automatically met.

Then, when you are an adult, you may keep hoping in some way someone else than your mother might again fill that role.

No one does, because they're scuttling around trying to find their analogous Daddy ideal, which varies more and includes more asshole than a man's mother ideal contains bitch.

The problem is no one will ever love you like your mother did, the biological reason being that you are an extension of your mother's genes, and therefore she has both a selfish and a hard-wired altruistic motivation for you to be comfortable and secure.

ONe way to compensate for this via visualization is to imagine that the hot chick you want is, inside, actually an infant, hoping for Daddy's approval. She is wired for shyness so men's genes get screened for aggression, so she is waiting, waiting for you to be the comforting yet controlling Daddy that SHE is hoping for to fulfill HER infant fantasies.

We all want to remain infants and be coddled. Who in their right mind would want to accept that we are alone and unwanted in the world, except by someone [chix if yer a guy] who wants you to fulfill the role of an indulgent God, so they themselves can remain infantile, and that we are meaningless squiggles who quickly fade away into nothingness and are forgotten forever?


As i go through late middle age, I am seeing all this as a moronic cycle and it is getting harder and harder to get excited by younger women as I see it all as this brainless mechanism to reproduce.

Instead of Janis Joplin's entreaty to "get it while you can", I think now the best advice I can offer is "Get it while you give a shit."
