The Ashton/Demi thing was part of the cougar craze, but they by no means started it. It was going strong before they hooked up. Before it was even called being a cougar old chicks like Liz Taylor and Joan Collins were marrying much younger men, and those bitches were MUCH older and far more raggedy than Demi ever will be.

Stupidity, sluttiness and impulsiveness among young women today is at record highs...I have no dap for that 42 year old cougar at the bar trying to pick up 29 year olds, and not a care in the world that she's trying to recapture her youth to full the hole in her soul that comes from not having had children. Old chicks have high standards now? They've always had them, fuck 'em, let them, the hamster is like your muscles at the gym; it gets stronger the more it gets worked out. Older women have had more years and more interactions with men to give the hamster a chance to spin the wheel, older (35-45) year old women have the strongest, most vicious hamsters in existence.

I said from day one; this was a career move. Ashton got mentored, and most of all, he got his name and his face out there. I guarantee if he didn't get with Demi, today he'd be toiling in relative anonymity and not a household name. About the only unexpected occurrence here is that the comments praising her are getting downvoted, and the comments saying that she's a greedy cunt are getting upvoted.

His career has been mostly wack (though That 70's Show was great and Dude, Where's my Car? is the perfect stoner movie), but 'Ashton' seems alright; I'd blaze a jay or have a beer with him.

This is definitely a way to take a dig at him... The way he cheated on her and how their marriage fell apart was a definite blow to her reputation and pride, and probably left her feeling old and unwanted. How else to get back at him?

In fact, cruise lines are taking advantage of the cougar craze by offering events dedicated to older women meeting younger guys.

"It is a very party-like atmosphere, and it serves a purpose for part of society that has been there all along and getting stronger and more prevalent," Ann Thomas, director of Singles Travel Company, told the Huffington Post.

Want to get onboard? You seem to have two options—receive an invitation, or call Singles Travel to apply. Amy Luna Manderino—2011's Miss Cougar International, fell under the "invitation" category. She told the Huffington Post that she actually hit it off with a young man during her first night.

“We ended up dating … and after the cruise he came to visit me," 47-year-old Manderino said. "Turns out he wanted to marry me, but I said no ... we didn’t share the same values and priorities.”
