So I was talking to this great girl on OKC (who messaged me first btw), and I got her number today. The only problem is, is that shes like an hour and 20 away from me. If I call her to try and set up a date, should it be somewhere close to her, in between, or near me?

If I were you I'd go for a hail Mary and try to get her to come to your place for drinks. Anything else and you're wasting a lot of time.

Since many of us have met women online who have NOT turned out to be what their photos claimed, I'd play it safe on first meeting. Say you'll be swinging by the halfway point between your houses one day and arrange to meet at a spot in between. If things look good, then you can decide whether it's worth an hour-plus drive -- for you or her. Keep in mind, too, that if you invite her over and she's weird in any way, you have to find a way to get her out of your place ASAP which can be awkward.

There was a story (which I can't find) on the Gucci Little Piggy blog about him going to some woman's apartment and being actually frightened by how she looked in real life. It pays to take precautions on first meeting... unless she's Web-camming you nude or something, in which case disregard all the above.

Who is more near the nightlife action, her or you?

If you, you know what to do. Claim there's several cool bars near your place.
If her, I would let this one go but you can claim that you'll be "passing through" on your own anyway and tell her you can stop by her place for 1 hr (I do this all the time in Chicago). That way, you can check her out (& the chemistry) before wasting your time
