Casual Boots
I know I read a thread on here from awhile ago about casual boots. I'm pretty sure Roosh was the one that started it. For some reason when I search I can't find anything.

Anyone know which thread this boot discussion might be in?

Does anyone have any recommendations for some stylish boots?

I found the frye boot company but all the ones I like I'm looking at $300 plus. Is that what should be expected for a good pair of casual boots?

RE: Casual Boots
Clarks Beeswax Desert Boots are one of the most popular, and affordable, pairs of casual boots you can get. I have them in beeswax and also sand suede.

If you want some super sick desert boots, check out Mark McNairy, but be prepared to throw down $400-$500. I tried some on the other day and when I put my Clarks back on, I felt like a fucking bum. Clarks are still dope, but McNairy's are just built and designed crazy good. I can imagine they would hold up well for several years. He has tons of different designs and styles, just grabbed this one up real quick for reference.

RE: Casual Boots
Red Wing Shoes and Chippewa Boots are two quality brands...the latter is mostly workboot-oriented, but they have some styles which are plain leather, and classic-looking.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

RE: Casual Boots
I had purchased Clarks desserts boots on recommendations when I started this thread. Since then the laces have snapped because they are kind of thin and I was having a really hard time find the exact same replacement laces but after some digging I found this site.

Most sites just have a bunch of random laces but this site you can actually click on the exact pair of boots that you own and they will show you which ones are the correct replacement ones.

http://www.therightlace.com/

They aren't quite as cheap as some of the other sites but you know you are getting the correct laces.

I have been enjoying my Clarks desert boots and have been thinking of getting another pair but different color.

I just ordered a new pair of laces and will report back to make sure they are the correct ones.

^Same happened with me, but I bought leather replacement laces. I like the leather lace look more than the OG laces actually.

RE: Casual Boots
I'm about to order a pair of the Clark's desert boots in beeswax, they look great. I'm starting to want another pair too, though. Can anyone steer me in the right direction for something that can go with a lot of different outfits? I'm mostly going to be in jeans with a button up, blazer, etc. or slightly less casual. Those gray corduroy ones look kind of cool, but I've never owned anything corduroy before.

RE: Casual Boots
Agreed but they're pricey.

I just got some pretty stylish and tough caterpillar boots without the obnoxious logo and they were only 87 bucks on amazon.

Color is oxblood

For some reason I can't get that price for those same boots for me. Maybe it is region sensitive to the price.

Edit: Realized it's after the 20% off.

Check out sebago boots. It kind of looks like red wing boots.

Or go to vintage store to buy disstressed boots.

Boots + Slim pants = trend these days.

When people were all wearing straight or boot cut pants i didnt understans why they wear boots since it covers the top and makes it look like regular shoes anyways. With slim pants, it ends right above high top so the whole boots are visible.

Those are sexy as hell. What do you typically wear with them?

RE: Casual Boots
I think $300 is to be expected for a good pair of boots, I've been researching this lately.

Here are some good ones:
http://blindbully.com/2013/12/alden-oak-...imberland/

Here's one that's cheap but I think it looks quite good:
http://www.danner.com/product/casual/dan...offee.html

For comparison, the most expensive ones go for $600 and more. Viberg, Alden Indy's. And these are not some out of this world designer shoes, just really well made simple designs. So $300 is half of that.

P.S. Oops just noticed that's an old thread. At least it's the right season.
